WIW : White & Hi Low

Hi Ladies,

I am noticing a lot of longer skirts this summer.  I have seen hi low, asymmetric and regular hemlines.  I wasn't planning on adding any more skirts to my summer wardrobe but .... you know how it is, if it's interesting and different to what I have it's worth considering right?

So for work today:

Black Chiffon Shirt
Ripple Moon Skirt
Betty Belt
Open Toe Booties

What do you think?  I am thinking this is something I might wear a lot over the warm months.  Easy to dress up or down.

Thanks for looking.

WIW : New Lace Jacket :)

Hi Ladies,

A new addition to my wardrobe for the warmer months.

My 5 Piece French Wardrobe has gone out the window with my new job lol. But I am trying to be wise in my purchases and make sure they work for my overall lifestyle and not just working the 'shop floor' :)

This jacket surprised me.  It's  not what  would normally try on.  But once I did I wanted it.  I have worn it to my office job with skinny black pants and a longer tunic, but today I wore it with my Paris Pants a jersey cami and belt.

I am not generally a lace girl, but I find the thicker, heavier lace incredibly beautiful.

Thanks for looking:) Your critque, comments all very appreciated.

WIW : For A Procedure!

It was my young master having the procedure. Poor Master 12 had to have a wedge resection today. He was so brave. The needles into the big toe were the most painful part and he had to have a few:(

As a result I'm at home today and probably tomorrow so needed an outfit that looks put together but is comfy and easy to move around in.

Tunic : Valley Girl
Cami : Underneath not seen Motto
Pants : Lauren Cropped Pant Motto
Sandals : Myer, Miss Shop

Thanks for looking.

WIW : To Church

Hi Ladies,

A little bit of colour today for church.

We spent time in prayer for Paris and the French nation this morning. The shocking events of yesterday have sent me to my introspective world and I don't have many words today.

Skirted Leggings : Motto
Betty Belt : Motto
Blood Red Marlini Top : Metalicus
Boots : Rubi

WIW : A HEWI

Hi Ladies,

Over the last 6 months I have successfully acquired two HEWI's, one being these white pants and the other my Motto coated jersey jacket.

Today for church and some errands I wore my latest HEWI, my white pants.

Pants : Valley Girl (!)
Cami : Motto
Draped Top : Metalicus
Betty Belt : Motto
Sandals : Rivers

I have shared before just how hard and how long I searched for white pants.  Buying a few pairs before finally finding 'the' pair. Upon arriving at church this morning a girlfriend commented how great I looked in white pants!  Thus confirming (I hope) that it's worth waiting for your perfect item.

I normally wear these full length but rolled to day to show off the girly shoe;)

I was wondering how everyone else's HEWI searches are going?

WIW : Colour & Pattern 2.0

Hi Ladies,

Was a member of a panel at a community meeting today and I just didn't feel like conforming and a wearing a suit (like the other panelists did) so wore my new Motto dress.

I have worn this to my Motto job, but not my office job before and I received some lovely compliments:)  I think the pairing with pants as opposed to leggings might cause some divided opinions, but that's ok, I am all ears:)

Would this dress be classified as a 'wild card' for me ?

Jersey Boheme Dress - Motto
Black Pants - Katies
Shoes - Rubi

At Motto I wore the dress with black cropped leggings and a platform wedge sandal, but for today I wanted height and I feel the dress is just a tad short at the front for bare legs at work.  The designer actually styles this dress with black pants that are similar to mine.  I think my next wearing will be  with my slim white pants??

Thanks for looking:)

WIW : Blue Monday

Hi Ladies,

Sterling's post about not wearing blue jeans got me thinking about my two pairs of blue jeans.  One of which is a skinny cut, the other a nice slim straight leg. I rarely wear either pair but occasionally they are just the right thing.

So last night I cropped the skinny pair.  How did I do??

Tunic : Witchery
Jeans : Kmart
Sandals : Novo

I think they look ok but cropped pants are kind of out of my comfort zone and the cropped lengths these days appear to be all over the place so hard to know if the length is right.

Was it worth the DIY?

Thanks for looking

WIW : A Belt with Super Powers!

Ok so I may be exaggerating:)

I am not a belt wearer in general, I find them constricting and uncomfortable most of the time.  But this one has added new life to some of my wardrobe.

I know the wide elastic belts have been around for a long time, but ones I have had in the past have not been soft, have been too tight and/or I never liked the buckle part.  This one is soft, stretches easily over the hips, or fits nicely around the waist and a clean modern looking buckle. It also sits comfortably on my tummy creating a bit of 'gut buster' effect;)  I have been wearing mine quite a bit and enjoying creating a slightly different look with some of my clothing.

Wearing:

Metalicus Marlini Blood Red Drape Top
Suzanne Grae Wide Leg Pants altered into Culottes
Motto Betty Belt
Myer Slides

Thanks for looking.  Sorry I haven't been around much, taking on a second job has been great but free time is now at a minimum.  Keeping up my YLF reading on my phone but less opportunity for comments.  I am sure once I get into a routine I will be back as normal.

WIW : As close to Boho as I go!

Hi Ladies,

A day off today and I enjoyed a lovely lunch with a dear friend.

I had considered purging this kimono-esque jacket.  For Aussie girls, it's from Millers, cost me a whole $8.00 and quality is 'ok', but I really like it:)
There is something about the Kimono looks that says Boho to me but I don't think I have a boho bone in my body lol.

Popped it on over skinny black pants and a draped sleeveless top and was ready to go.  Added silver hoop earrings, silver rings and a black and silver two strand long necklace.

I was inspired by the pic in #3, but her jacket is oh so much nicer :)

Jacket : Millers
Pants : Katies
Top : Katies
Shoes : Rubi

Thanks for looking.  Any suggestions, thought for improvement.  Is the jacket ok or should it infact go??

WIW : Shop Girl Style ;)

Hi Ladies,

As some of you know, skirted leggings were such a HEWI for me and now that I have a pair I will apologise in advance for wearing them all the time and for posting what will probably be way too many outfits featuring them :)

Today for work @ Motto :)

Skirted Leggings : Motto
Jersey Cha Cha Top : Motto
Open Toe Boots : Rubi
Silver Cuff :  Cannot remember
Silver drop earrings : Secret Santa from Karie xx

Very simple black on black outfit, the neckline of the top is kind of cool and made me think of the HL bra top, I don't  think it needs any further embellishment at the neck?  Hard to see but the top has an asymmetric hemline which follows the asymmetric line of the skirt.

I am actually feeling a little sensitive to all black the moment and have been wearing a lot of white with my black, not sure what it's all about??

Thanks for looking.  Your thoughts, suggestions etc all much appreciated.
