WIW : New Lace Jacket :)

Hi Ladies,

A new addition to my wardrobe for the warmer months.

My 5 Piece French Wardrobe has gone out the window with my new job lol. But I am trying to be wise in my purchases and make sure they work for my overall lifestyle and not just working the 'shop floor' :)

This jacket surprised me.  It's  not what  would normally try on.  But once I did I wanted it.  I have worn it to my office job with skinny black pants and a longer tunic, but today I wore it with my Paris Pants a jersey cami and belt.

I am not generally a lace girl, but I find the thicker, heavier lace incredibly beautiful.

Thanks for looking:) Your critque, comments all very appreciated.

xxx Deborah

Well, I couldn't quite picture you in lace, but this is stunning! It certainly suits you beautifully. Great cut, gorgeous fabric - I love it.

Laughing at the effect your new job has had on your 5PFW! It would be hard to maintain self control! The jacket is fab, love the textural interest it adds to the monochrome look. It must be a nice weight for indoor AC or summer evenings, too.

It looks great Deborah. I really like it the way you have styled it here. I wasn't as keen on how it was styled on the website. It's great that you can see the potential and try on.

I've blown my 'no shopping for awhile' pledge too, but I'm trying to be more careful now. As always, temptation is everywhere! :)

I love this piece and how you've styled It here with the jersey pants and wide belt.

    Ooooh, that is seriously gorgeous.

That is a lace jacket that I could love, too. It looks great with your outfit.

I used to work retail and eventually just succumbed to the fact that all the money I made at the job just got ploughed into new clothes from there :)

Love this lace jacket on you! Really loving the textural and pattern interest in your outfits lately...

It's more like geometric texture! The new jacket is beautiful, and you are wearing it in such a chic way.

I love this jacket, it is incredibly elegant. Your ability to style with a modern edge is perfection. You took a piece that could easily veer toward the more classic/conservative side and flipped it on it's head! I love this on you!

    Beautiful!

It's beautiful, Deborah.  The geometric pattern of the lace seems to fit so well with your style.

Maybe you like this lace because of the geometric patterns. It looks beautiful on you and although is out of your usual it is still within your signature style, imo.

Beautiful jacket.  I am not much of a lace person either but your jacket seems different.  Edgy lace.  Not girly lace.  Not that there is anything wrong with girly lace.

I really like the way you styled it.

Beautiful! Love the jacket, Deb. I agree....this is the kind of lace jacket that's modern and elegant rather than being too dainty.

This belt has become such a wardrobe workhorse for you!

I love the jacket. You look fab!

Great jacket - the regularity of the pattern, skin showing through and great fit actually make it quite structured and a fun contrast with the flowy bottoms.

Looks great! Will be handy for cooler days in the months ahead.

I am like you, Debs,  "not generally a lace girl, but I find the thicker, heavier lace incredibly beautiful" especially geometric crochette or mesh alikes. I bet this jacket will do heavy duty for your wardrobe, big thumbs up, and your outfit is spectacular with those harem pants!!!:-)

in love! Love lace and black :)

Motto seriously needs to see how you photograph in their clothes.  Everything you've posted looks SO much better on you than in the on-line catalog.  I think having you as a model or stylist for the company at a higher level would do wonders to their bottom line.  Seriously.  This jacket looked like nothing on the website, on you it's GORGEOUS.

    This is lovely Deborah!
I have an old mesh cardigan/jacket I wear alot at my casual work in Summer. when the AC cranks-up it is perfect.

That's a really cool lace jacket. You styled it very well & yes it still looks like you

I love a rich, nontraditional lace -- art nouveau, art deco, patterns instead of floral.  This piece will be versatile for you, and I love the way you've given it an arty flair!
