WIW : Urban Cowgirl does Coffee

As I said in my previous post, this wrap reminds me of Clint Eastwood in his Spaghetti Western phase :)  My first wear of this wrap, out for a coffee with a friend, and I have paired it with straight leg jeans, black top and boots.

I don't feel my styling juices were really flowing today.  DH left yesterday for a week long conference interstate and Master 12 and Dexie (our dog) decided they should sleep in my room in DH's absence!!  Didnt' sleep so well :)

I felt fine in this but I know I can do better:).  And it's warm!  But I think my next rendition will be ... black leggings, ankle boots, simple black tunic, wrap and a black infinity scarf:)

Thanks for looking

xxx Deborah

PS... found #2 on Pinterest.  Apparently Top Shop are doing this wrap also.

I love how you can add very different pieces and yet the outfits look very Deborah.  This is one of my favorites on you.

Still loving your wrap. I look forward to seeing the planned next rendition. It's all about experimentation with a new piece like this, isn't it? And that kind of style exploration is so much fun! I think I like this best grounded in black. The wrap itself has such drama that I like it less with jeans -- and definitely not the model's distressed jeans. Just too much going on in her look for me.

Still looks pretty cool, even if you felt it wasn't your best. I like the inspiration you found, too, with the sandals. To me that look is really fun and practical; perhaps I think so because I wore long sleeves and a jacket with jeans and sandals to dinner this evening. It was just warm enough for sandals, but quickly cooling off.

Oooh- this looks soooo cosy and warm and yet perfectly on trend!  Great for alfresco brunches over autumn!
The look that the model sports certainly is ambitious.  I think it works on her- the crisp white shirt buttoned all the way up is a bit 'spaghetti western inspired' while the slides keep the look current.  And let's face it- most models could wear a hessian bag and make it look good!!! I'd probably buy it (the hessian bag) as I am such a follower..... giggle!!!!

A skinnier ankle will make it more you and up the stylishness edge, but still hard to say this is not fantastic.

Yes, i think rachylou has hit on it - maybe needs to be a bit sleeker on the lower leg. Still a very cool look.

Deborah, your sense of what works for you seems to be infallible! You look great in that high plains drifter wrap--amazingly photogenic, as always.

Deborah, you can do no wrong in my book ... I love your next styling idea too.

I love how you are taking pinterest and making the outfits your own, your way. We don't see you in denim often, so that's a different look, but it works. Yes, I'd like to see it paired with black too.

I have the feeling this wrap is going to be a surprising workhorse for you - you just need to play with the stylings to make it feel more like you I suspect. I echo Rachy's comments about slimmer fitting pants. I'm wondering how it would look with your Metalicus Plaza twist dress and boots?

    I loved it, but I'm suspicious - I love wrap ponchos :D

    Super cute with the jeans.

This is a fantastic look on you, Deborah.

I like the inspiration photo with the skinnier jean.  And the white shirt really pops.

For some reason I keep whistling the tune to 'For a Few Dollars More' :D

I think you look great Deb! Maybe your tired eyes after your lack of sleep are not seeing what we see :)
