WIW : My Work Look...

...Looks like my regular day look lol:)

Having spent two weeks in my new job, I have assessed that there is no dress code, other than looking presentable.  Some of the girls wear very casual outfits, jeans, striped tee and ankle boots, some have no interest in clothes.. so it's a mixed bunch.

I have been wearing mostly pants, loose / drape top and blazer but now that I know that my general style is fine for this job, I couldn't resist falling back into skinny legs, boots and black layers;)  And I received very nice compliments on how I looked today from two "gentlemen" I encountered at lunch.

I think next time though I will put the belt back on the jacket that came with it.  It is a little wider (not too much) and leather and just ties like this one.. I swapped it out for a fabric one but I think a little more definition might be good.  I don't do belts often so hopefully I don't look too much like a sausage;)

This jacket reminded of something Rick Owens did a little while back:)  #4

Tie Jacket - Target
Asymmetric Tunic - Metalicus
Leggings - Target
Ankle Boots - Serra
Earrings - Secret Santa Gift from Karie

#2 is to show you the lovely earrings from Karie, and the sheerness of the jacket, and #3 is over exposed so you can see the gather and detail of the jacket.

Thanks for looking, do you think this worked ok?

xxx Deborah

Simply lovely....I've wondered if you are a Rick Owens fan....your style fits with his, if not the budget! Hope you are enjoying your new work place.

No sign of that top yet, huh?

Elizabeth, nothing yet :)  But I have faith:)

Everyone at the new job must be blown away by your style. Maybe it will inspire them. You look stunning.

Love it! Can you provide a link to the Target Jacket?

  • Sveta replied 8 years ago

Deborah, every time I open your WIW i gasp in admiration. You know I am not a huge fan of all black outfits but I am a fan of YOUR all black outfits! This one is no exception.
I hope this new job is more rewarding than your old one and you enjoy it :-)

Great look!  I can't believe you got that jacket at Target - it looks more high-end than I usually associate with them.  Don't get me wrong - I shop at Target a lot, but that jacket just looks fancier than I usually see there.

Glad you like the new job, and of course you got those compliments, your outfit is simple and chic, and maximum of your own gorgeous  personal style. And confidence matters:-).

  • rachylou replied 8 years ago

Really great topper. It's funny tho, I'm not used to seeing you doing the defined waist. It's downright conventional ;)

  • amiable replied 8 years ago

You look awesome as usual!  I'm glad you can dress your normal at your new job :)

  • catgirl replied 8 years ago

This look is fantastic - the contrast with your hair and coloring is great, and you look so trim!

  • Thistle replied 8 years ago

So fab!!  And terrific that you can wear your "you" clothes to work!

  • replied 8 years ago

    Really pretty!

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Thanks all.  Really glad you like this.  I would like to get some more wear out of the jacket and I think next styling might be with a long slim line draped skirt!

AM, I am sorry but this jacket is nearly 2 years old, so I can't provide a link :(

Looks great and so glad to hear the new job is going well!

Such a great look! Love that tunic. Very nice!

  • CocoLion replied 8 years ago

Love the tunic on you, the waist definition is so on trend.  Maybe your dressing choices will influence everyone in your office.  Not only to uplift your co-workers by you looking so nice, but also to inspire the other ladies to bring it up a notch.

  • Lyn D. replied 8 years ago

FAB Deborah, and you are looking very slim and streamlined too :)

  • Helena replied 8 years ago

    Fabulous, and very flattering!

  • Kirstjen replied 8 years ago

The outfit is great, especially the sweater with the twisting & gathering at the center, but you have the most perfect hair ever!

  • Carole replied 8 years ago

Gorgeous' Deborah-Love it, so chic and sophisticated...I'm confused about which piece came from Target (that doesn't seem possible)!

  • Caro in Oz replied 8 years ago

Such a great office look, professional yet still you - love it.
I also love the ROs version - I would love that colour for me :) :)
