WIW : Summer Layers

Hi Ladies,

Thanks to Denise's challenge I am getting organised and trying to take daily pics again :)

Today is an office outfit.  Skinny leg pants and new top.  I have played with #2 so you can see the hemline of the top.

There is a little store in our undercover shopping centre that I have started to frequent.  Most of the clothing skews way to too young for my liking but I have found 2 or 3 pieces that are very me, and this is one of them.

The top is a slightly sheer fabric, a bit chiffon-y and is nicely made.  The store carries a variety of brands and garments are mid range in price.  The sleeve style is a little different for me and I feel quite 'covered' but I am liking the change with respect to the sleeve.

Thanks for looking and your thoughts and comments much appreciated

xxx Deborah

This outfit seems very "you," from what I've seen of your WIWs. I like it a lot!

This top would look like a sack on me but on you it is beautiful and edgy, Deb.

I just read and I can't remember where or I would site it...Shop in all stores and make what is there work for you...even if it is a teeny bopper type store...That stayed with me and I remembered it when I read your piece...You certainly did do a great job with that top and its relation to your style...I now have a new goal to hit the stores that I had frequently said too...for me and see what is there...
I also like your title summer layers...I think I remember summer...it was perhaps warm, and say, did the flowers bloom?...and was it maybe full of long languid days?...Vague memories that come and go as I sit watching the snow fall rain style and the wind blow every leaf in the yard around...I guess it will be warm again but for now we definitely be cold til spring time comes...(Forgive the digression...smile..)

Interesting seam detail on this top !  Looks nice and cool for summer - ah summer........

Definitely a Deborah top. The sleeves remind me of the angled sleeves Angie likes on short sleeved tees, only the angling is lower on the arm here. I really like this detail.

I like the asymmetrical hem, Deborah. It might be a bit much for a volume over volume look so I liked it over skinny pants.

Super cute top. And of course very you. I love the necklace with it and the green pop of color next to it ;)

Really nice Deborah - and it looks fantastic on you!  (Don't you love it when you find something special in unexpected places?)  Your necklace adds lightness to the outfit and acts as a focal point in the outfit.  Super cool!
