WIW Oxfords Round Two:)

Hi Ladies

Thanks for your encouragement with the Oxfords yesterday:). I love them so much and find them so comfy I wanted to wear them again today!

I'm not sure about this combo. Once I left the house I started to wonder if a midi black tailored shift dress I have may create better proportions? Will have to try it.

The blacks are not as different IRL as on #1.. must be the lighting. #2 is a better representation of the two blacks:)

Black Dress - Mix
Cropped, ruffle trim cardigan - Jaqui E
Fishnet Hose
Oxfords - Rivers

#3 handbag and accessories.

Again any advice re styling these shoes is really appreciated.

xxx Deborah

The proportions totally work! How about adding a scarf?

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Thanks Angie. Yes a scarf might just lift it all a bit. I kind of felt like I hadn't quite finished dressing when I left the house:) Like there was something missing. This is the first time I have tried the black fishnets and I do like how its still black but definitely creates a softer look than the opaques.

No wonder you love those shoes! They are super! I like the new laces much better. And the proportions here work beautifully.

love it all. i also like the sheerer hose on you even if i'm an opaques girl myself.

BJ I love opaques! But am trying to be open to new things lol

The proportions look great to me! I missed the opaques discussion so I am off to look for it now. I wear them quite a bit in the winter for warmth.

I think the shoes work well with this shorter length skirt - not to say you shouldn't try a midi too of course. Maybe a light or bright scarf as Angie suggested would be a good addition, but you look pretty terrific as is.

i see angie's point about blondes and sheers. as a brunette, i feel like i'm trying to hard in sheers. and weirdly, i don't feel as professional and too "sexy".

Just maybe some color, or even some white up top. Awesome, awesome shoes!

I like Angie's idea of repeating the white in a scarf up to, but this is still great. You are having so much fun with your new shoes! Tee-hee!

Proportions are great here Deborah and like others have mentioned, I love the sheer hose. Keeps the bottom half of you "light". The shoes look fantastic. I like Angie's idea of adding a scarf.

LOVE these shoes! And I like the sheer hose, also! Have you thought about belting the dress under the cardi? I'd belt it loosely, perhaps, so the belt hangs down a bit in the front, which would help define the body, but won't shorten the length too much.

    Looks good to me.

The oxfords look really good with this outfit. Angie's suggestion of a scarf reminded me of the classic square ones in shades of black/ white/ camel.

I'm so happy to see your Oxfords out and busy and, yes, Angie's idea to add a scarf (white and red?) would be lovely.

Your oxfords are amazing! I may be giving up my Doc Saras in search of a pair more like yours with black bookending white.
