WIW : Fun with a Beanie

Hi Fabbers,

One of the many things I am enjoying about having shorter hair is that I can wear beanies!! Can't explain why but I really like the slouchy beanie look. It's.certwinly practical for our winter, and great for bad hair days:)

Picture taken at the end of the day so lighting not great. You have seen everything but the beanie and jacket. I bought the beanie last year from a men's store and the jacket last week. It's similar in style to a couple I have but is longer. It's a great jacket for work without compromising my style preferences.

Been messing around taking some hair shots too so I think #3 is my new profile pic:). I'm really happy with the cut from my new hairdresser.

    Oooh the beanie looks great! The jacket is a great cut as well, but the beanie takes the outfit to a whole other place--very hip and casual! Nice black and white ensemble...

    The beanie is great. A beanie is like a modern snood. I'm never without... although sadly, I'm always pulling it over my ears and ruining my coolness, because wind makes  my ears hurt... ;)

    Love the pic too.  Any chance of seeing the sides/back of your cut as it is at the moment? :)  (I have an appt on Thurs, and think this is possibly where I'm going next)

    As a super fan of the slouchy beanie (I wear mine often as snoods) I have to say I absolutely love this whole outfit from head to toe!

    I'm glad you're happy with the cut from the new hairdresser, Debs. It's a killer cut. And wearing white softens your hair colour quite a bit. Personally, I like that. The white picks up the light tones in your hair better than a grey top. 

    Also, in response to your previous comment : "And as much as I hate to admit it (not sure why) a little bit of pretty is one of my style goals.". You wouldn't judge another person negatively for wanting to look pretty. So there is no need to judge yourself negatively either. Some people bat for Team Pretty, and some don't. It's all good. xo

    I love it! I tried to get a slouchy beanie but it was too small to really give that effect. Yours looks perfect.

    You look great :) i love the beanie and your lighter colour. We seem to be having an endless summer here in Brisbane. I am soooooo looking forward to wearing some winter clothes :)

    Wow, you can definitely rock a beanie!  I love your whole outfit--it looks comfortable, but modern and professional.  Your haircut is fabulous, too!

    Well this is just ridiculously adorable, the beanie works SO WELL with the new 'do. If I had white/platinum hair I'd be wearing contrast and bright color slouchy berets all the time. I have to say, although I know there are things that really do photograph nicely, your style is so refined and arty that I find it hard to believe that your hair comes across as OTT in person.

    Lyn I think this one will work for me. I thought it was too soft but I seem to have mastered how to wear it so I think I will leave the Metalicus one...but they do go have it in grey so I might check the website. Did you see their end of season sale has started!!
