WIW : Clothes Shopping with Master 11

Hi Fab Ones,

We had some errands to do this morning (Saturday) and Master 11 has grown out of almost all of his winter clothing so we needed to get a few things for him.

I am Team Wear, so I wanted to build an outfit around my new ankle boots.
So black jeggings and cream tunic with black asymmetric top layered over it. I really liked this. #1 is my Totokaelo model pose lol. They always stand a certain way and have a particular look, it's kind of cool but funny.

Also felt like something different on my nails so am wearing Rimmel Lively Lilac.

Master 11 was hilarious clothes shopping. I thought girls could be difficult! We did have some success and came home with two long sleeve tees (both with skull details), red jeans and a multi coloured mambo hoodie.

Hope you are having a great weekend and any thoughts or suggestions for improvement on this outfit are much appreciated. Thanks for looking.

xxx Deboah

Love this outfit, the double curve created by the two hems is awesome.

My word you are a cool creature.

Congrats on shopping with your ds! Mine (13 and 11) have zero patience and refuse to try things on, let alone shop. My DH orders most of their clothes overseas (from the Uk) and crosses his fingers that they will fit. Sounds like you guys found some good stuff :). (And you looked fab in the process!!!)

This outfit is wonderful with your hair, boots, and nails. Love it!

You are my fashion hero! What a fun look, both pose and outfit!

You make me want to get dressed-up just to view your Fab outfit!
(Yoga this morning and the garden till now has had me in dowdy leisure wear all day.)
Is the dress new? Love the hemline too, and your new boots look fantastic :)

I love the outfit on you Deborah! Super fab proportions and the curved hems are so flattering. Those new booties are gorgeous, too. When I read your title, I thought Master 11 was shopping with you (as in going along to find clothes for you), and I was really wondering what that trip would produce!

rabbit, thank you, I love playing with layers and I liked how this turned out.

jackiec, that's not a bad idea. Master 11 has become so particular and it looks like we will be online shopping for a specific vest style he wants :)

deb, thank you. My hair is seriously overdue for a cut and colour ...Im feeling a little feral and not as polished as normal lol

Mani, you are so sweet :) I was feeling silly this morning, hence the pose:)

Lyn, thank you. I am so happy with the booties. I bought the tunic late last. It is sleeveless and I haven't worn it much despite really liking it. I think I will probably now start wearing it more with the layers :)

Firecracker, if I take Master 11 shopping for me, he behaves as though I am physically torturing him. I avoid it as much as I can lol.

Oh my!!! Love that layered top look so so much!!! Shopping with the young men is certainly interesting! Skulls and hoodies are high on my Master 10's fashion list too!

As the Master of Layers you continue to amaze me!! - this is so striking yet still looks comfy and oh so approachable -and showcases those booties to perfection. Hope the boy got some equally great new winter clothes!!

  • kkards replied 9 years ago

love the layering and the echoing of the hems!

Boys are difficult little shoppers as well...Just different from girls...I hope Master finds pleasure in skulls and hoodies...
Love your outfit...the black and white add such a flair of drama...I love it!...
If I am correct, this is your winter now...What is your winter weather like now?...
Enjoy your week-end and Master 11...what a fun age...

You're a master at layering with the perfect proportions, you look very, very cool. The new booties look fantastic, I love the zipper details. M 11's "multi colored mambo hoodie" has me intrigued, I think I need one myself :). Oh, and his red pants . . . clearly he favors color.

    Killer

I LOVE the big flash of white in the outfit, Debs. You nailed the pose, and glad that Master 11 found some fab stuff. xo

Great outfit!  Your outfits are always so interesting to me.

I am very enamoured of your lilac nails. That seems so perfect for right now...

And oh no, boys are very difficult in the clothing dept. You can just throw heaps of clothes at girls. Boys, no. This cotton doesn't feel right. That sweatshirt has a banded bottom. *I don't like green,* and the infamous, *What would I want that for?*

  • replied 9 years ago

Wow! So cool and edgy. Those boots were meant to be yours. Love the lilac nails btw.

Fantastic! I love the white shirt underneath. It looks ultra stylish.

  • Greyscale replied 9 years ago

Love it! The contrast is great.

  • Neel replied 9 years ago

Gorgeous! And I love your new boots! The nail paint is a very pretty color too :) Glad DS found some goodies!

Great outfit, Deborah! Nice layering technique and high five for team wear. Glad that you went shopping with Master 11. It is always a big event in my house when kids go clothes shopping.

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

The exaggerated long white tunic makes this outfit unique.  You know I love it!

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Fantastic! I like your Totokaelo pose too!

  • Isabel replied 9 years ago

    Holy Cow !  I am speechless, in a good way.  :  )

  • TraceyLiz65 replied 9 years ago

Wow, layering perfection and a black/ white dream! Mother of 3 sons here with youngest being14...boys are funny and are much more decisive with strong reactions for and against pieces. I love that moment when it's a "definite yes, gotta have that one!"

You are so good at layering - I'd look like a dogs breakfast if I tried this but you pull it off with panache.
