WIW : Day One @ Motto

Hi Ladies,

Today was my first shift at Motto.  It was a trial shift and part way through the manager called me into the office and offered me regular shifts:)  So I said YES :)  

I had the BEST day.  Loved interacting with the customers and helping them put together beautiful outfits.  I made quite a few sales over the four hours and picked up the point of sale program very easily.  

After my shift, knowing I had regular work coming, I did buy a few pieces and now have a little capsule for starters, which I will share as I wear them.  

So today I wore:

Lace Bell Top - Motto
Skirted Leggings - Motto
Sandals - Rubi

Master 12 liked the top and said it looked like a snow blizzard!!

    Glad, but not surprised that your first day went so well and that you  have regular work. I think you'll love it.
    I like the outfit too. You look ethereally delicate in the second picture.

    I'm not surprised at your instant success at all - in fact, I'm sure the manager is keeping her eye on you for more use !  I like your first use of pattern ...pretty, softer, yet still "you" with the angular shape.

    Have fun at your new job - and rest up those feet and legs in-between !

    Congrats! It's clear you enjoyed the day - it comes across in your post. So nice to see a lightness and happiness. The outfit is great. I am always stunned at how you put the right pieces together to have fluidity and structure at the same time and not get overwhelmed. Adore the outfit and looking forward to seeing more from this brand. The customers are lucky to have you as a sales assistant that's for sure!

    I can imagine that you would be perfect for this job! I for one would sure love to come in a store and be lucky enough to have you help me! That would be one good shopping day I know.

    I worked retail for many years (many years ago!) and I did enjoy the customer interaction, for the most part. I think you are a natural for this job and I'm so glad it went well! I LOVE the new top!

    You look fabulous!  I'm glad you had a successful first day.  I'm curious about your shoes though.  Did the heel height bother you at all?  It seems like some people can wear heels when on their feet all day and others can't. My hairdresser wears 4" heels all day but I know that would kill my feet.

    GORGEOUS top on you. I love it -- the pattern is "you" even though you are not big on pattern. Perfection. So glad you had a great day, and not at all surprised.

    This is your kind of pattern, Deborah!  They are fortunate to have you. I think retails jobs, when you're selling good stuff and working for good people, can be good for the mood.  Helping people, doing light physical sorting and not having huge responsibilities can be terrific combination!
