WIW : Enjoying Blue

Hi Ladies,

Another blue dress:)  This one is from Witchery and it was extremely hi low in the hemline so I decided to have the back shortened so it was still longer but before it was almost hitting my ankle.

The fabric is quite luxurious.  Someone asked me today if it was silk, but it's a very nice poly and has a satin type finish.

Kept accessories to a minimum and felt black footwear was too heavy so went something more nude.

Thanks for taking a look.  I have been up and down about this dress, loving it one minute and being uncertain of it the next.

xxx Deborah

It's lovely Deborah. The colour is beautiful and I like the way you have kept it very simple with your shoes.

Exquisite and elegant, this simple dress with the nude-for-you shoes is another winner, Deb. Outstanding! I love how your effortlessly polished your style is!

Just lovely Deb (even sent me to look at the Witchery web site!)

I particularly love this look.   It looks so effortlessly elegant.

YLF, Debs, and I love the shoe choice!  I'm so envy you can wear the peep toe booties with such a dress! Dress is looking thin so when weather is that good by us, I can't stand my feet so covered to the ankles:-(. How, do you do that?

Awesome, you look great. I think the shoes are a perfect addition.

The dress is a nice (summer) change from your layered looks. Simple but still has that drapey feel. Nice.

I love it (but I would, lol). I think the alteration has made it much more wearable.

So pretty Deb!  A refreshing change for you - and the nude shoes absolutely make the look. Good call on shortening the back , too.

I can't imagine this dress with a back hem so long! Definitely the right call to shorten it. You look great in this. I'm loving seeing how you transition into warm-weather dressing. :D

    Killer

    LOVE

I like it a lot more than the flared dress from COS, Debs. How about you? Nice nude shoes too.

I think you look marvelous in blue! Very nice dress and I like that you've kept it simple -- the shoes work very well with it too.

I love that dress on you. The nude shoes were the perfect touch.

The dress has really great drape. YLF.

    GORGEOUS!

What a gorgeous dress! I like the slightly more muted shade of blue, that feels like quite the change for you. Still dramatic with the bare legs and high-low hem. How interesting that you had the back shortened! I would think you'd want the higher drama, though perhaps not ankle length ;)

Very good choice ! Ha, a "nearly neutral"--but so good for you.
I like the nude shoes and would also like something about one shade darker.  That is not meant as criticism, because I think this is a fabulous look just as-is, just thinking about how footwear does not have to be actually  nude-for-you,  to be less heavy than black, if you were thinking of trying some other options.

It's a beautiful dress. What about it is giving you pause? The drape looks wonderful, and I like the hemline alteration.

The length is perfect, as is the fit.  Deep blue is a terrific color for you.  It reminds me of the burgundy Vince dres appearing on others on the forum.
