WIW: Busting Out The New Blue

Hi Fabbers,

Post and run today as heaps on with a volunteer function today at work. Photos taken at the speed of light as well, apologies as they are not as clear as I would have liked:)

Two new items here. The jacket and blouse are new additions and the jeggings and booties you have seen many times:). Our weather has turned cold again:(.

This is probably very much a "uniform" outfit for me. Easy to wear and work in (lots of running around today) and it feels like me:)

Comments, suggestions all much appreciated.

Have a wonderful day.

xxxDeborah

YLF!! It's freezing here too :)

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Caro I had to pop my trench on this morning to travel into work.  We have a lunch event today for work and I was really looking forward to wearing a new summer dress :(

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Beautiful as usual. You rock your signature look!

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

I know!! For the first time in a long time, I have all these great summer clothes but can't wear them grr.

Great outfit Deborah!  It looks just like you - which is a good thing!  I noticed that you called that black top a "jacket."  What is it made out of? - it looks like a sweater in you pics.  (just curious - because I bought a steel blue cardi at Target today which looks exactly like your black "jacket!")  Bummer about the cold weather!

  • JulieJohn replied 10 years ago

Ok, there's a reason this is your uniform. Crikey, you look awesome.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Beautiful, Deborah, and your hair is also looking super fab. I love the blue on you and the new jacket looks comfortable as well as very "you."

Ah, Deborah! You look so lovely in that blue.  Just gorgeous.  And I love the new jacket, especially the gold zipper detail. Lovely!

Great purchases!  Perfect for you--glamorous and cool!

  • anne replied 10 years ago

We should all look so great in our uniforms!! Very classy Deb

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

I love the zipper on the jacket and the blue is fantastic on you!

  • pil replied 10 years ago

Nice uniform you've got there :) You always look so polished.

  • Neel replied 10 years ago

Comfy and true Deborah style.  You look fab as always!

The temps here just starting to dip.  It is the kind of weather when it's too cold with AC and too hot without it!  Argh!

Love me a high-quality uniform!  The shape of the jacket is terrific, and the cobalt is rich an deep -- beautiful shade.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Thanks so much lovely ladies.  I am enjoying wearing these blue tones :)

Marley, the jacket is a woven, unstructured, unlined light weight jacket.  Does that make sense?

  • Marley replied 10 years ago

Yes - that makes sense!  It's really cool!  Also, how are you feeling about your hair now that you've lived with it for a few days?  I ask, because the color looks beautiful in these photos!

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Thanks Marley! I am really happy with my hair. The low lights do seem to fade quickly leaving the blond more prominent:). ... Yay. Hope we get to your jacket soon.

  • soobee replied 10 years ago

Gorgeous!  Stinky hot up here :(

  • Lantana replied 10 years ago

    Gorgeous, too right.
    Exceptionally cold here. :(

  • Lyn D. replied 10 years ago

    Love the new jacket Deborah!
Hubby is not happy because his band is playing at an outdoor street festival tomorrow :(

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Lyn where abouts? Will they have to cancel if it rains?

  • Lyn D. replied 10 years ago

It is at Beaumaris. Actually one of the few paid Gigs they have had this year, so they will play beanies and all!
Back to your new jacket- may I ask where from?  :)

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Lyn, I grew up in East Bentleigh and Beaumaris is our old stomping ground so to speak:). I do hope the weather holds up for them. Wish I was in Melbourne. Our DH"s would get on well I think given their love of music:)

The jacket is from Valley Girl! I had a few free hours on Tuesday and had a wander around our shopping complex. I rarely buy from VG but tend to have a look every now and again. The jacket is a nice weight and surprisingly well made. It's not lined but the seams have all been finished beautifully.

You look great, stylish and comfy. What a great outfit for a busy day :)

  • Ingunn replied 10 years ago

I think this is my favorite shade of blue. You look fantastic in it. Sorry about the chill, but you are heading in the right direction weather wise  - unlike me :)

  • shedev replied 10 years ago

I love how you can look both sophisticated and edgy.

  • carolbee replied 10 years ago

You are looking fab as usual. Love that colour blue on you. Sorry I been MIA for a while, hoping to comment more often from now on.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

She deck thanks you made my day! Sophisticated and edgy is definitely what I aspire to stylewise:)

    Carolbee, I have missed you!

  • gryffin replied 10 years ago

Deborah - love this outfit on you.  The cobalt color is wonderful with your coloring.  I really like the drape and crop of the jacket.  It really shows off the underlayer and it looks like it will be perfect with dresses and skirts too.  Beautiful with the silver accessories and, of course, the black booties.  Chic, elegant, edgy, and comfortable - it does not get much better than that!

  • Mona replied 10 years ago

Very nice blue and black outfit. The silver watch is a perfect accessory.

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

    Killer

I love it when you wear cobalt blue. xo

  • Gracie replied 10 years ago

I love your "uniforms"!  I also thought the jacket was a cardigan from the photo, it must be a very soft and drapey woven material – is it a cropped length in the back?  These colors look amazing on you.

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

Fun outfit.  I always enjoy cobalt paired with black (or white) because it's so striking.  And great shoes, they have a nice architecture vibe which pairs well with the drapey cardigan.

Thanks Deborah- I might be at VG over the weekend with DDs, so I will have a look :)
