WIW : Black and Blue

Hi Fabbers

Back from our short break and not feeling great, off to the docs later today as I think I may have an ear infection (or something), I have such a low tolerance for not feeling well:(

We had the coldest November day in decades yesterday and today is not that much better. I have added some great pieces to my wardrobe for Spring/Summer and am very disappointed than I haven't had the chance to wear any of them yet, so today regardless of the weather, I am breaking out my new blue Esprit jacket. I wasn't planning on a jacket purchase the day I found this, but I loved it instantly and pairing it with slouchy pants seemed a no brainer. I love 3/4 sleeves and it is slouchy and comfortable to wear. It's a linen blend but feels like a microfibre?

Jacket: Esprit
Top: Big W
Pants : Katies (winter weight)
Shoes : Target
Necklace : made by me:)

Thanks for looking and have a fab day.
xxxDeborah

Oh that inky jacket is so fine! Its cropped length is just perfect with those trousers. I'm sorry about your cold snap, but you look like you're taking it fashionably in stride.

ETA I hope you feel better soon!

I'm so glad you let that jacket come out to play; it's way to fabulous to languish in the closet! The necklace sets it off to perfection.
I love the slouchy elegance of the whole outfit on you. Very pretty!
    (Hope you feel better!)

Thank you ladies you are all so sweet and your well wishes had made me feel better.  I was probably a bit enthusiastic wearing the jacket today and these shoes... I am freezing:( Lol

Hope your immune system kicks into overdrive to get you well quickly!

This combination is one of my favorites, dark, but the ink adds interest, slouchy, but with flow and real shape.

    Wear this again!

You do look wonderful - and returning from holiday is never easy.  Take case of yourself and get better quickly!

Such appealing proportions Deborah and that blue suits you down to the ground.
It is cool here too but I am happy: it will get all too hot all too soon.
I don't think the rollercoaster weather does our immune systems any favours. I hope you are back in top form soon. Take care, Penny.

Well it appears I may be a bit of a drama queen.
Visit to the doctor to discover my ears are blocked due to a build up of wax (yuck). (Hope this isn't too much information) He did say that it would cause the discomfort I was experiencing and of course anything to do with our ears can cause other levels of discomfort:). I am home with some drops and should be good as gold in a couple of days. Thanks so much for your concern, it's really appreciated xxx

Love the slouchy pants and the new jacket looks perfect for summer.
A great look :) glad to hear you've been to the doctor and are on the road to recovery.

Hope you feel better soon too, Deb. Black and blue is a great combo anyway, and here you make it so arty-chic with this silhouette. The jacket is excellent. I am swooning over the necklace; as an ex-beader I've made quite a few, but none as beautiful as this one!

Apparently some people produce excess wax (like my DS1) and they require cleaning by an ENT every six months or so. Gross as it may sound ... Its just perfectly normal! Hope you get well soon.

  • lyn67 replied 10 years ago

Hope you're soon feeling better Deb, jacket is so cute! Love the styling and  the blue Murano glass(?) DIY necklace, too:-)

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Well, I just love this combination and I also adore your necklace. I hope you are feeling better soon!
