WIW : My Formula & New Chanel Sunnies

Happy Weekend Everyone!

Clearly this has become my casual formula:)  So I hope you are not too bored with it:)

#1
Draped Cardigan by "Gorgeous" from local store
Assymetric grey tank by "E & D Everyday" from The Laborotory
Patterened leggings from Katies
Suede Boots from Rivers
& New pendant from Target. (I love how a new little 'something' can give you a little boost)

I actually bought a couple of other peices from the E&D Everyday range this week (all on deep discount) all in the same drapey fabric, one in soft grey and the other in a blue grey, I think they will become workhorses for both work and play.

#2
Rugged up for leaving the house, added Brown Sugar scarf and Stella McCartney for Target bag.

And for those who kindly asked, here are my new Chanel Sunglasses in action.
I do love them:)

#3/4
"THE" sunglasses - for those who didn't see the thread, these were a very kind gift I received last weekend.  I do hope they suit me 'cos I am wearing them regardless lol!

Thanks for looking and suggestions for changes, improvement etc, always greatly appreciated.

xxxDeborah

Does it need to be said? Of course I love it. The patterned leggings are on trend, but I think the print is a classic.

The sun glasses are very glamorous. I'm a fan of the larger styles like that, although my SO cuts me off when I'm showing more lens than face. :P

  • pil replied 10 years ago

Those are some glamorous sunglasses! And I like your casual formula :)

  • Sarah A replied 10 years ago

Love the sunnies and the draped tank. .... I can definately see these becoming huge workhorses for you!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Wowza!! You look like a Bond girl in action in that last shot. Amazing. The sunnies are so glam!

And I adore the whole outfit with the touches of grey and texture. Love the bookending of the scarf and patterned leggings. And what a great pendant. The circle echoes the sunnies. Very cool.

  • marit replied 10 years ago

Ah, I love this, sharp & comfortable.

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

Oh My Goodness!  Those Sunnies are amazing!  And you and Ceit are making me fall in love with gray!

  • Beth Ann replied 10 years ago

Yes.  Very Bond.  Like you're gonna take care of the bad guys, have a spot of tea and and a nice curl up with a book -- all in the same delicious outfit.

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

The print leggings are a fun twist on your formula. You look great! I love the sunglasses on you too.

  • Adelfa replied 10 years ago

You really wear this look well!  You look wonderful.  The sunnies definitely do suit you and I love how the curve of the frame echoes the curve of your hairstyle.

  • Lyrebirdgully replied 10 years ago

This is my favourite among all your outfits. The piling on of the layers in #2 adds even more delight. I especially love the pattern mixing in #2 with the scarf.

Very COOL sunnies. For a second on the thumbnail I thought the glasses were a bit Iris Apfel, but the scale is definitely smaller than that, so I really like them. Statement sunnies feel awesome to wear - glad you are enjoying them.

  • sarah replied 10 years ago

Oh my, Deborah, I can't believe how perfect those sunglasses are on you. Unbelievable. The outfit is fab.

  • abc replied 10 years ago

I aspire to rock the blacks and grays and drape as well as you.

LOVE, LOVE, L-O-V-E those sunglasses.  Seriously the best ones I've seen in a long, long time.

And can I comment on your absolutely perfect hair?  I'm growing mine out and am going to show my sylist your pic bc it is exactly what I want (hope you don't mind!)

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

YLF! Love the CCs on you Deborah - very on trend.

I also love the grey/texture/pattern of the outfit. I know you love all black but this is so much more interesting & sophisticated imo :)

  • Janet replied 10 years ago

So fab. You totally rock this look.

    The sunglasses are so cool!

  • Lantana replied 10 years ago

I for one never tire of your outfit posts Deborah and this one is up there with the best of them.

  • Debra replied 10 years ago

Looking great. I really like the texture and mix of black and grey in the leggings and scarf.....lots of inspiration here :)

  • Lyn D. replied 10 years ago

    WOW Deborah!
I have never heard of 'E and D', but their stuff looks sensational!
The Sunnies with your signature red lippy and nails is fabulous. I love Katies for finding the odd gem at a brilliant price, don't you?

  • harmonica replied 10 years ago

    Stunning! Both:-)

  • Moe replied 10 years ago

Love the glasses what a kind and thoughtful gift!

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Suz and Beth Ann, I'd love to be Bond girl, especially if we are talking Daniel Craig!

Amy, I think grey is my new favourite colour:)  I have decided it is MY white.

abc, I am flattered!  By all means take a pic.  My hair is newly cut and coloured here and I am really happy with it.  I am moving slowly to a more white blonde, i really like the drama of the cut and the sharp blonde.

Lyn, E & D are new to me also.  It's Ellis & Dewey, here is a link   http://www.thelaboratory.com.au/#!our-labels/vstc2=ellis-&-dewey

Mo, yes they were a lovely gift, particularly given they are not something I think my own budget would normally stretch too.

Thanks for the lovely, kind comments ladies.  I really enjoyed this outfit today.  I felt good, so much so that I am working a variation for tomorrow lol.

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

My gut reaction when I saw this outfit "that is so cool."  I'm not sure which part I like best, the patterned leggings?  Or the drapey layers?  Or the boots?  Heck I just like the whole thing.  And the new sunnies fit your face perfectly!

  • replied 10 years ago

Love the whole outfit Deborah. Enough interest, with texture and pattern but not overwhelming at all. Fab drapeyness and lovely necklace echoing the oh so gorgeous sunnies! The shape of those Chanel glasses is fab on you!

  • Vix replied 10 years ago

    Hi Deborah --

Aren't you the glamourous, mysterious one in that outfit, the new sunglasses, the red lip/nails, and your precision haircut!

Agree the printed leggings add a nice twist to your usual formula.

I have to admit the scarf + leggings are a little much for me worn *together* but I admire your gumption and think it's a cool look!

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

The new sunnies are KILLER! And so is your very polished bob!!! You look fabulous, Debs :)

  • Peri replied 10 years ago

Never bored...I aspire to looking that good!

  • rae replied 10 years ago

You could never bore anyone with those rockin' details! Love the prints, the sunnies, the draping... always elegant and edgy at the same time.

  • Susie replied 10 years ago

This is YOUR look; you wear it incredibly well. That photo of your gorgeous hair and fab sunnies is model worthy.

  • Hil replied 10 years ago

So fab - your lovely red lips and sharp bob are the perfect accessory for this greyscale picture. I like the pattern mixing of the leggings and scarf and the sunnies are perfect for you!

  • annagybe replied 10 years ago

Great texture mix. Love the sunglasses on you.

  • replied 10 years ago

You look so dashing, Deborah!  I get an elegant swashbuckler vibe from this.  And I'm in love with those sunglasses on you.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Thanks lovely ones!  I am thrilled you all think the sunglasses suit me. It would have been more than a little disappointing to have stunning designer glasses that didn't look good on me at all lol.

  • rachylou replied 10 years ago

A very relaxed look. And another person who looks fab in Chanel!

  • Kristin L replied 10 years ago

The sunglasses suit you very well! And your WIWs are never boring.

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 10 years ago

The Chanel sunglasses are made for you. Gorgeous! I love the whole outfit, too. I think I like this mixture of gray and black on you better than your all-black outfits, but then, perhaps they are just different. This palette is less dramatic, and prettier.

ETA: I do love your all-blacks, too. With your outifts, it's a matter of fab and fabber.

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

I think sunglasses fit you perfectly - they give you that mysterious look you know...:-)
Your formula suits you very well - I would call it you signature style really. I am  never tired of it!

  • Kiwichik replied 10 years ago

I haven't caught up with your OSS or ages and I really like your inter uniform. Love the glasses "Chanel, darling" I'd wear them even if they made me look like the back end of a bus.

  • lyn67 replied 10 years ago

Wow, Deb, this is mastering all: the arty, the edgy, the layering, the fluid fit,the highlow,  the monochrom, the textures, the blacks/greys, the printed pants and boots, and the styling CC sunnies for fall! K2K!!:.)

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

The sunglasses are so perfect for you Deborah! I think you are really reaching the point where your style aspirations are being perfectly met with your clothing. And, of course, you look fab!

  • No Fear of Fashion replied 10 years ago

What went wrong here? I commented on your post and I cannot find it anymore...!! Strange things .. computers.
I wrote I could immediately copy your look. Great. And you do it better than I would because you add modern jewellery and a modern bag. I tend to go wrong there. Shoes, jewellery and bags are usually very classic with me.
    Great combination.

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

Great outfit and the sunglasses... whoa... they are uber-fab!  They look fantastic on you and just bring soooo much style to the equation.

  • Ornella replied 10 years ago

I love the outfit (very you), I'd also like to see it with black or grey booties. The sunnies are perfect, glamorous finishing touch.

  • Day Vies replied 10 years ago

DAAAAAAAAAAAM! I know I am late but WOW. This outfit is beyond killer. I love the hair and the glasses. Too much fabulousness in one place! I would deconstruct for you why exactly I adore this outfit but that would take far too many words to say that I love this outfit I intend to copy it or at the very least use it for inspiration. I love the textures, patterns and black/gray palette. Simply DIVINE!
