WIW : Despicable!

Well  not the outfit...I hope, but the movie :)  Wore this to take Master 10 to see Despicable Me 2.  Great movie, we laughed, I nearly cried, and we laughed some more.  And it's back to school and work tomorrow :(

Outfit consists of my black skinny jeans, suede boots, new grey sleeveless high low blouse from JAG (which I bought to wear with navy... I will get to it.)and a newish draped jacket I happend across in Target.  It has a faux leather tie belt which I thought was kind of cool.

I really enjoyed wearing this outfit and am thinking making a few adjustments for the office tomorrow.

Also features a new cross body bag that I carried as a clutch.  It's from Nine West and made me think of the 80's... it called my name.

Thanks for looking and any comments or suggestions for improvement always appreciated.

xxx Deborah

    Lovely, Deb!

Ceit, this is the blouse I bought to wear with my navy pants. I'm sure it will get a turn with the navy :)

I'm a bit scatter-brained this morning and have to remind myself that it's winter where you are :)

You look fabulous. Of course the large-scale architectural elements, but now I'm noticing the beauty of the more discreet items like the shell and necklace with its perfect drape.

This is awesome, Deb! I especially love the grey top and the silver necklace.

  • lyn67 replied 10 years ago

Love the soft,  draping elements here, Deb! And what a clever second pictie which shows all in a move:-)

  • amiable replied 10 years ago

You look wonderful!  As always :)

  • merwoman replied 10 years ago

Gorgeous! I love that "clutch" so fun with the houndstooth print!

Gorgeous Deb! I agree with Mochi about the architectural elements and then the details like your jewellery. I think the hounds tooth bag adds a fab playful element too.

Deborah this looks lovely. I have to wonder if all Targets are created equal. My Target doesn't appear to have anything nearly as nice as what I see you in.
I like the scoop neck on the Jag top. I'd copy but feel the cold too much.

Another beautiful look, Deborah. The second photo really gives us an indication of the movement of the pieces. Bring on the navy next!

I love how in the second picture Deb, we can see your outfit in more detail. Such beautiful pieces and all work so incredibly well together. Adore the long chunky necklace with this outfit and of course that handbag spoke to you :)

Very pretty! I really like the white watch with the outfit.

I'm glad you two enjoyed the cute movie! I love your outfit Deborah, so asymmetrical and flowing. The bottom hem of your jacket is cut in such a flattering way. The new top looks great and I love that necklace! The close-ups of your accessories are much appreciated. :)

  • Diana replied 10 years ago

I love all the drape and movement here, Deb. necklace is fantastic too.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

LOVE the new bag!! It is SO you. But I think I need one, too.

I also love the necklace. I would like something like that as well. Hmmm. Can I come raid your closet?

Sounds like the movie was fun. I will take my daughter when she gets back from camp!

  • Sara L. replied 10 years ago

I love the drapiness of your top with the large necklace. I took my kids to see that movie last weekend too and we all liked it. My kids laughed so hard that I was laughing more at them than at the movie.

Love the flow and movement of this -- along with the lightening touches in the silver and the white watch.  You look terrific!  Glad you celebrated before "back to school!"

And I'm with Suz......off to search for that bag.......

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

Great use of bag as clutch and I do love how you use necklaces - you always pick just the right one for the look. And you look fab of course!

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Ooh, the dark neutrals are such a great backdrop for your necklace and clutch!

  • Thistle replied 10 years ago

Such an amazing outfit!  So perfect for your arty style. I love the addition of the studded clutch. Just FAB!

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

Love this, so flowy! And the houndstooth bag is to die for!

  • replied 10 years ago

You look very cool.  Adjustments?  I love it as is, is something not suitable for the office?

  • Peri replied 10 years ago

You are one of my top 5 most admired fab ladies! I love this outfit.

  • Parsley replied 10 years ago

I love this whole outfit, Deborah!
I want to join Suz in raiding your closet, or at least in shamelessly copying your fabulous style!

We took our grandkids to see Despicable Me 2 and loved it, too! They've been going around imitating the little minions - so funny!

I love this look. Reminds me of a brand called Sarah Pacini (you can see their collection on http://www.sarahpacini.com). I think you have created a wonderful modern look. The only thing that puzzles me.. is it not too hot for this time a year?

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

    Thank you!
Parsley, I want my own minions!!
Lantana, our Target has quite a good range and variation in quality. And you and Suz can come and play anytime;)

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

Miss Elegant Eclectic, you've done it again. Perfection. I especially like the grey top, white watch, and your new clutch to ease the black.
We saw and enjoyed Despicable Me 2 over the weekend in 3D. No grandchildren but the theatre was full of children and it enhanced my enjoyment to hear their laughter.

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

Great outfit!  I preferred the first movie, but if they made an entire film of the minions I'd be happiest.

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

I love drapy cardis on you! :) They look so elegant! And I'm glad you enjoyed the movie - I loved the first one!

  • Lyn D. replied 10 years ago

Oh, I am starting to miss not sharing kid's movies with my girls!
They saw this one, but on their own now that they are bigger.
(I would either have a good laugh, a good cry or a good snooze while they enjoyed their film in the past :) )
I missed this cardi. in Target- cause I would have been tempted. Have you tied the belt to itself at the back?
Looks great here with the flowy top and long boots.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Lyn I was wondering how long I have for kid's movies with master 10?  With the cardi I have actually tied a knot in each end and let the belt hang loose.  I will check out our Target next time I am over that way and let you know if they have any left.  I probably bought it about a month ago.

  • Hil replied 10 years ago

So amazing! That gunmetal grey is just beautiful!
As all the ladies have said - the movement and flow and the statement items make everything work so well!

  • Debra replied 10 years ago

Just perfect....stylish, easy and comfy for a movie with children and yes I want my own minions too :)

  • Lyn D. replied 10 years ago

Why thank-you Deborah, I will have a look next time I am at Target too.
