WIW : Monday & Tuesday / Bed Dressing

Hi Ladies

I had a go on the weekend at "bed dressing" and put these two outfits together. It was fun but (for me) runs the risk of additional pressure in the morning if it doesn't work in reality:)

#1 was Tuesday. I spoke in the morning to a women's group at church. My wide leg pants and blazer is a bit of a formula for me for these types of events. I was happy with how this came together.

#2 was Monday at work. I really like the high low top / pencil skirt and am exploring what pieces I have and if they will work together. This looked great on the bed but I wasn't 100% happy. I think this top works better over a skinny pant. Hence ...

#3 was that same evening where I changed into my skinnies, booties and added a snood to attend a meeting.

Thanks for looking. Thoughts and suggestions always much appreciated.

xxx Deborah

Great as always! I really like how you (re)mix your favourite colors, shapes and patterns.

All three outfits are fabulous! Good bed dressing :)

    I like all three.

Stunning. Every time I look at you I remind myself: GO FOR A SIGNATURE.

I need to do this. The question is, how.

You always look SO polished and stylish. You have such a fab sense of style! Opened 1 and I loved it. Opened 2 and I loved it even more. Opened 3 and thought what a fab change out!

I NEVER EVER tire of seeing you in your black, white, red, grey combos - you are so in tune with your style Deborah - it's a delight to see your outfits.

I really like #2 as is.

Number 2 totally works! Deborah, I would listen to anyone who looked like you with *rapt* attention! Those lucky ladies at your church. Your 'do is looking super sharp as well, and all of these are completely and perfectly fabulous. *sigh*

Goodness you ladies certainly know how to boost a girl's confidence... thank you.

Suz, I am going to read up on what Angie has written previously about 'signature' style. I think you have a 'signature' style (I will have a think as I am unsure I could clearly articulate it) and I wonder if sometimes we cannot see our own as clearly as we see others, because we are simply 'used' to seeing ourselves (I am not sure if I have expressed that well). I wonder is it something we consciously develop or is it born out of us simply wearing a style, silhouette, etc that we like and enjoy.

Claire such a lovely thing to say. The ladies were very positive and responsive. It was a group of senior ladies and I felt a touch inadequate wondering what on earth I could share with a room full of woman with so much life expeience between.

And I really pleased that #2 looks good to you all. I am not sure what I expected but now that I review it, I think it's a combination I will wear again.. thanks :)

I bet bed dressing is more successful than head dressing.

I really can't bed dress because my cat leaves too many hairs on mine, and I refuse to wash my bed covers more than once a week. So I do rack dressing, then mirror dressing, then camera dressing which is always the most accurate.

I think all of these work really well, #2 included. I have seen you in outfits like #2, in fact I think of that silhouette as signature Deborah. Maybe you are ready for a change and that's why you felt it didn't work as well.

Denise I do sometimes get a bit bored with "my usual' so to speak but i realise now what bothered me is the neckline of the top. Too much skin:). I think if I added the snood while wearing the top and skirt I would be quite satisfied. Funny how a relatively small detail can make something seem "off". And I totally agree photos are the final process in the assessment for me too:). I do more "head dressing" that you can imagine lol.

Deb, your pics exude beauty from the inside expressing itself on the outside, so we just look and admire and smile!

Love, love #1. I think 3 is more figure flattering, but 2 is more interesting! You have inspired me on a bit of a black and white jag this season.

Truly stunning - as dressy and polished and stylish as you always look, everything just looks so natural - like it grew on you!
