WIW : Autumn Where Art Thou!

Hi Ladies,

It's Saturday here and a pretty casual day.  Slept late and then some errands, a visit to MIL and home.

Can you believe yesterday we were bundled up in jeans boots and cardigan and today it's warm again!!  I am trying out an outdoor photo spot but I think time of day wasn't the best:( But at any rate, today's outfit blue skinny jeans rolled, new (end of season pick me up) sandals and Complexgeometries top.
Excuse the no lipstick look.. I am a pale person:)  And I think the change of location caused me to forget to smile:(

Rolling jeans is still new to me, so hope I got the length right?

Thanks for looking.  Bonus pic of me mucking around on Master 12's bike!!  Master 12 couldn't resist getting his very unsporty mum on camera!

xxx Deborah

Today the weather in Oz and California just might match.  Instead of Autumn Where Art Thou! my WIW title would be The Winter that Never Was.

I don't think I have seen you in jeans very often, but you wear them well.  Maybe 5 times total over all these years?  Or is it less.  You got the roll just right, and the sandals and Complex Geo top make it all true to Deborah.

Master 12's bicycle looks powerful, almost like it is a moped!  Sporty Luxe indeed, plus the bike's frame and your manicure match.  ;-)

ETA - forgot to mention I like this photo spot, although it might change the mood of your more dramatic monochromatic outfits.  This backdrop is going to work well with outfits including white I think.

Thanks Denise:)  I wear jeans more than you think but my go to are my skinny black jeans:)  Blue jeans on the other hand I have to be in the mood for and that mood doesn't strike often lol.

Master 12's bike was his birthday present in February.  It's called a "Fat Bike" (due to the tires I think) and it is such a nice ride... I kind of want one :)

I thought the greenery would be a nice background for all my black:)

Such a fun top and the roll on the jeans is perfect. A fun casual outfit :-) And the pic of you on the bike is frame worthy :-) ... cool bike!

  • Lucy replied 9 years ago

Great look - the roll is just right! And fun to see you in blue jeans.
Having just moved to Brisbane, I have been asking that a lot! Where is autumn??? Does it exist? Still been 31 degrees celcius all week, with one high of 36! I am getting a little tired of my summer clothes! Am on the lookout for some new sandals, for at this rate I will be wearing them until May :)
Awesome bike, we have been looking at these for DS who is turning 10....

Looking good! Love the top and sunglasses.

I love love the outfit! I haven't heard of Complexgeometries before but that top is perfect for you!

Ooh, nice to see and outdoor shot. I really like those sunnies on you and the jeans are rolled to perfection IMO. I don't know how you manage it, but even with a top that is a little rate with the distressing details, you still look polished. :) BTW I showed my DS your son's bike in the last pic and he said 'cool!'

  • MTBGirl replied 9 years ago

Jeans look great! And your son has a fat bike! Woohoo! Cool! They are all the rage here as sometimes it is the only way to ride the snowy trails. Does he ride mountain bike trails? Our trail systems are still unrideable and have been all year. Here's to hoping soon!

You look great on the bike! Is that sunshine? Is that greenery in the background? I have a vague remembrance of such things! I love the floaty top with the rolled jeans and sandals. A super fun Saturday outfit.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Fabulous look! I love the new sandals, too. You have your casual style as well honed as your dressier style. Brilliant.

It's great to see how you wear blue jeans. The mood doesn't strike me very often either. The look feels completely you with the great shoe and fabulous top.

I love the green spot you have selected for taking outdoor pics. And yes, it will look lovely with you black.

Well we went from nice Spring temps to a wintry mix of freezing rain the very next night...
I love the shot of you on DS bike!
You did fabulous on the jean roll, something I have yet to master , but am now inspired...

Deborah, I love how you wear these rolled boyfriend jeans and make them look totally your style. Such a great outfit. The sandals and red nails are perfect touches. And you look just as smashing with your minimal makeup look (or sans lipstick)--it goes well with the outfit. That aspect, and the green backdrop, bring to mind the blogger you follow (who wears all the Rick Owens). The shot on Master 12's bike is terrific. I think you deserve to have a shiny red bike of your own! It goes with your wardrobe.

You are casual perfection, and I love that top. The blue jeans look fab too.

And I actually think you look really beautiful with the nude lip!

  • shedev replied 9 years ago

Deb, love your outfit. You should get a fat bike to ride with master 12.

  • merwoman replied 9 years ago

Simple elegant lines and perfect roll on the jeans! The bike looks perfect with your nails :-)

    Oh Fun pics Deborah!
Looks like warm weather for another week, and I am realising that I have too much cold-weather verses warm weather tops for our temperate climate.
Strict 1-in-1-out from now on is the aim :)
Must get the family out for a bike-ride soon- it is fun!

Fabulous as always!!  I'm loving the rolled jeans look too, although my husband questions this fashion.

My weather has gone from snow on Friday when I was driving through a little higher altitude than at home, to nearly 80F yesterday...layers are definitely my friend this time of year.

  • lyn67 replied 9 years ago

Love that top, and sporty Mom look!:-) I personally would make the roll  on the jeans a bit thinner(2/3 or 1/2 of what you have there), but that'a just a personal thing.
