WIW Day 10 of SYC!

Hi Ladies,

I'm conducting training this morning so wanted to keep it simple, professional and nothing too distracting :)

Wrap Dress (Portmans)
Suede Wedges (Rubi)
Accessories in pic 2

Next time I think some color would lift this dress. Maybe red shoes and nude hose??

Thanks for looking. Suggestions for improvement always welcome.

xxx Deborah

Red shoes would look fab! This is a gorgeous dress Deborah!

    It's beautiful!
However I think the necklace tends to be lost in the collar, or is it the angle? With this dress, I wouldn't wear anything around the neck and privilege my wrists: nice watch, bracelet, cuff...
The idea of the red shoes sound appealing too.
    Kudos for the SYC.

    Thanks Shannon:)

Krish, thanks and yes its the angle of the photo. Front on the pendant sits perfectly between the edges of the collar. I like the idea of bracelets however I don't find the comfortable, particularly for work where I type quite a bit.

You look beautiful, and your accessories are gorgeous. Red would be lovely, but it's also nice the way it is.

So elegant looking Deborah! I rather like the drama of all the black here, but of course red shoes would be equally fab :)

Very chic and glam you fab creature.

Simple, professional and gorgeous! What a lovely dress. I think some color would be great, but it's perfect as is. So...is SYC brutal? I don't know if I could do it! :)

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Christy, SYC is painful!! I have fallen off the wagon already:) I went and bought the faux fur vest I posted. Its not until I make the commitment not to shop that I realise just how much shopping is a part of my recreation and me time.

I feel your pain but today I wandered a thrift store (good thing I found nothing!) and then to avoid further shopping, went and had iced coffee and read my "car book" that I keep for emergency reading needs. It was nice to get out and about even for a few hours.

Back to YOU ! That dress is super fabulous - professional, looks simple and effortless and dramatic at same time. You could do a colored shoe or bag next time round but it looked great today.

Amazing wrap dress! I like the elegant gray on black. Red would be beautiful too, but I do like the outfit as is.

Simple, professional & perfectly stylish. Would definitely inspire confidence in you from the trainees.

Love the dress ( am very fond of Portmans!).. I think the dress would be fab with the red heels. Though the outfit is great as it is, if I was wearing it I'd like something white or light near the face (wish I could wear wrap dresses - not suitable for those of us with no bust!)

Just gorgeous! Hope to see you wearing that dress again, it's quite perfect. What a great idea to add colorful accessories. Red, yellow, gold, silver, white, grey, pink, cobalt... those are the trend colors that come to mind.

Deborah that is just a perfect outfit!
A pop of colour is good, but I think I would leave it as is :)

Love this neckline, I have several tops and dresses with this one, and find it so flattering. beautiful dress=perfect choice.

I love the wedge shoes, but red would look great also. You have such a great sense of style - you really never seem to miss.

  • Meredith1953 replied 11 years ago

Love it styled this way although you can change it up very easily as well with color. You always look so elegant!

Beautiful dress and accessories, Deborah, and I like your idea of red shoes! Even something like teal, too, would add a rich lift of color.
