WIW : As the Seasons Transition

Hi Fabbers,

Life just doesn't seem to be 'settling down' as I had hoped :) It's one thing after the next but we are keeping our heads above water and attempting to navigate it all with good grace :)

I love this time of year because northern and southern hemisphere weather is often not dissimilar as we move out of Winter into Spring and many of you are welcoming your Autumn.

The last two days I have been able to wear footwear other than boots:) But it hasn't lasted and it is pouring with rain today but not terribly cold.

Here are a couple of recent outfits.

1.
Loving my EF Harems so much. Such a versatile item that I can seem to be able to wear across all seasons. Layered nude tights under them for warmth here:)

2.
New Metalicus drape cardigan/jacket. Loving it, wanting to wear it all the time. Again this is great for most weather. It is a merino wool blend. Will be great in summer in the office with our icy a/c.

3. & 4.
This is today. Now that I am working 5 days I have made an executive decision that Friday are 'casual' for moi. This coat is old. Local label Jacqui E. I have had it since before Master 13 was born. I bought it as a suit with a pair of wide leg pants which were donated years ago. The jacket had a collar with I have recently removed to give it a more modern look. I still love it.

Anyway thanks for looking and trust everyone is doing well. You are certainly looking fabulous:)

xxx Deborah

You look gorgeous! My favorite is the first...i can't believe how much I like these harem pants on everyone.

  • Jaime replied 7 years ago

Excellent outfits all of them. I love your new blue cape and the first outfit is perfect!

Your pieces are working brilliantly for you == love the kitty shoes and the blue cardi/jacket particularly.

I'm sure working full time is taking some adjustments -- your style is certainly ready for the challenge!

The EF harem pants look amazing. I also love your new Metallicus cardigan, the colour and fit are beautiful and look so great with black for now and I could also imagine it working with grey and white as we move into summer. Spring and Autumn are always my favourite seasons - I love the clothes and weather (although the allergies in Spring are not quite so great - I have started sneezing already)!

Thanks Aquamarine, I am so happy I bought the harems and they are so different to what anyone is wearing where I live :)

Shevia, thank you.  I know #2 looks blue but it's actually black and white:) It's a really lovely jacket to wear.

Beth Ann, thank you.  They are fun shoes, not expensive but comfy and great for Fridays when I have been in heels most of the week.  And yes, with everything going on, including working 5 days, it's a relief to not have to think too much about clothing.

Bijou, thank you.  I also love Spring and Autumn but I do love a cold winter.  I suffered allergies to Springs back and had to take allergy tablets.  Was ok last Spring so fingers crossed for this year.  Hope you do ok, it can be really unpleasant. x

You look gorgeous in everything. The harem pants were made for you. You have the perfect supporting pieces for stunning outfits.

Those harems are amazing. Lovely looks! Blue is great on you.

Best with all that is going on.

Lovely as usual. I like sewing you in those harem pants.
All the looks are cool, relaxed and chic. And, of course, polished!

Love all your outfits....well I do like cool black clothes which you wear well. I'm disappointed I didn't see your Rick Owens outfit...you'd do a heaps better job of it than me.

Love them all, but #1 and #2 are stunning.

  • shedev replied 7 years ago

    All great outfits.

  • chewyspaghetti replied 7 years ago

You have a very dramatic style. I love the first two outfits!

  • texstyle replied 7 years ago

I especially love the new blue cape - very pretty, but the harems are also great on you.

    I just wonder 2 things.

How do you make your black look so artistic?

    How do match your blacks?

How do you keep them from fading?

I know i've said this before but I really love your style.

P.S.  I know I said 2 but oh well. lol

    Hi Deborah,
Life sounds so busy for you right now!
Having your well-honed wardrobe must be making it a little easier in the morning, and all your outfit choices look stellar!
Hang-in there- will you have a break at Christmas?

  • Cococat replied 7 years ago

I love them all Deb. Your new metalicus jacket is beautiful and goes perfectly with all black.

The harems look amazing on you. I've been stalking some Camilla ones on the resell sites. I'm always just a bit too late, but will keep searching.

  • Deborah replied 7 years ago

Ledonna, 1. I don't know but kind of you to say that :). 2. I don't worry too much about matching my black's. I tend to only but very solid black blacks and I wear texture which means (for me) the blacks don't have to be exactly the same:) 3. Re fading, quality fabrics as minimal cleaning and I don't hang things in the sun. ;)

Lyn, I have just put in for holidays in September and definitely some time off at Xmas:). And yes my wardrobe has been working beautifully for me. It hasn't required much thought at all:). How is your mum doing?

Cococat I think you would wear harems beautifully. They tend to stand apart from trend too which makes them worth the investment x

I like all the outfits but #3 knocked my socks off. So elegant and modern.
