Hi Ladies,

Apologies for being a bit scarce this weekend. Spent the day in Melbourne on Saturday with my sister rather unsuccessfully shopping the Essendon Direct Factory Outlets, followed by a birthday function in the evening upon my return and then a crazy day of family stuff today.

This is somewhat unexciting but it was today's outfit for visiting my MIL, doing the groceries and general running around. I did add my bulky grey and white scarf while out of the house but forgot to get a pic.

The hooded cardigan is a sample I picked up yesterday with my sister. Purely a casual piece, I thought it was a little bit of a change from my oversized tops. I have layered a white cotton tank and then a long tunic length black tank under the cardi.

Ok for casual weekend wear? I'm thinking a bit of colour (maybe coral) could work under it also?

    Certainly ok for casual wear, you do look casual but still with that Deborah touch.

    Apart from the hood I would say you could also dress it up, but it looks great here how you styled it. And bring on the coral!

    That's a gorgeous little cardi and suits your style perfectly. There must have been a typo in your thread - did you really mean *coral*? Bring it on :-).

    I think it needs the longer layer underneath to be more contrast-y- to add more length- the coral sounds perfect!
    Sounds like you were the only one to make a purchase yesterday?
    I haven't had much success at outlets like this- alot of the stuff seems to be oddments that haven't sold elsewhere.

    Thanks Lyn, yes a greater contrast would work better I think.  My sister did quite well yesterday and picked up quite a few things.  I find the Moorabbin outlets is where I have the most success, I wouldn't bother with Essendon again :(

    Deb does casual so fabulously! I really like the bit of white peeking out. This outfit still is true to your style. Coral could be your new red.

    Love the new addition to your wardrobe! I think it slots in perfectly, with a more casual vibe. 

    It's been really chilly here this weekend, so seeing your outfit today, I just want to reach in and wrap a scarf around your neck! :D Glad you put one on as you walked out the door!!

    I also struggle with DFOs - I find I have better luck if I just shop the sales in my local malls, than going to outlets, with the exception of shoes - outlets are great for shoes!

    Very cute!  I'd like to see it with color (coral) too.  You have such a fabulous style, Deborah.  This piece is a nice variation on your oversized tops look.

    Lol! Just for the record, I have three coral coloured toppers. 2 blouses and an open weave sweater :). Oh and I have a coral coloured jacket...that I haven't worn yet ;)

    Lovely, Deborah!  Love the shape and scale of the stripe, here.  I think it would look great with cobalt or claret underneath, too!

    I think this is a great casual outfit Deb and totally works with your style. Love the hooded cardigan. I like the idea of adding some color under the cardigan. I adore the wedge sneakers on you.

    Great casual outfit.  I like the hood on the cardigan, it's an unexpected touch of fun to this look.  I think this would be lovely remixed with almost any color but especially bright colors including the coral you mentioned.
