WIW : Wednesday

Hi Ladies,

Great day at the community meal today. Lots of satisfied guests and even though we were two team members down, everything ran perfectly .. go team.

Warm but overcast and rainy today. Top of 28 degrees.

This is a one of those dresses that is just easy to wear and perfect for days like today when my work is quite physical (serving, kitchen etc) and it can just be thrown into the wash as the end of the day. It's also a dress that I love popping over leggings when it's not so warm.

#1 Target Dress and Novo bootie/sandals. Accessorised with my silver rings and hoop earrings. I have NEVER worn hoops until I had my hair cut and I am quite enjoying the look. Need to find some with some interesting detail.

#2 Close up of the drape of the dress, along with what looks like dog hair
and random 'gunk' from lunch.

Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions always very much appreciated.

Happy Wednesday everyone.
xxx Deborah

You look so good in that dress. Short hair is great for hoops and any hangy-downy earings, imo.

Deborah, you wear draped dresses so well! You're so good at making relaxed cut clothes look so sophisticated!

Fab dress even looks good with gunk and I love your sandals.

Beautiful dress! Love the shape of the sleeves and the neckline together

I cannot see gunk or doggie hairs, but a fab drape and confidence wearing this dress with those fab sandals. No matter what kind of physical work you were supposed to do, you still managed to stay stylish! I aim for this to achieve, too:-).

What a great dress, you look as stylish as always :)

Love that dress on you. The drape and length is fantastic and VERY figure flattering!

...and really digging those sandals, too!

Deborah this outfit is so inspiring. Hoops with short hair, ankle booties with lots of toe, and knee length black drapey knit dresses are all things I am have in my closet (and my head) and you show how it is done. I am going to copy all the elements and see if it works as well for me!

Beautiful!  I love the ease and drape of the dress. Comfortable but still totally within the arty arcitectural style that is so you.

You look so great in drapey dresses! Love the footwear pairing.

I am just loving all of your Target finds! You guys get so much better stuff than I'm finding in Atlanta. You look totally fab today!

I love the draping detail at the neckline. What and 'easy' dress but still full of personality. And the hoops are great on you.

Great dress -- love when a simple black dress has a defining point of interest like that center drape. It looks terrific on you!

  • Marmee replied 10 years ago

I love the simplicity of this.  Drapy and fluid and one piece!

You 'Blondies' wear black so well :)
Also Deborah you are doing such a great job of finding hidden gems at Target these days!

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

That dress was made for you! I never see these gems at Target.

Can't see the photos yet (just joined) but it sounds like a great look. Hoops do tend to look better on women with shorter hair (plus less likelihood of getting tangled up!)

Great look!  It sounds like summer's still hanging in there, so this is the perfect piece.  I hear you about washability when it comes to food service.  Everything I wear needs to be washed after a day in a restaurant.

    I'm loving the sandals
