WIW : To the School Production

Happy Weekend Ladies:)

Some of you will know that I entered a competition recently, and many of you so kindly voted for me:) Thank you to those who did vote.  I was overwhelmed by the support.  I received 202 votes, ran third, and my prize was a $100 Gift Voucher from Metalicus.

My purchase arrived yesterday, just in time to wear to Master 11's school production last night.

The attraction of the California Wrap Vest is that it can be worn a number of ways.  On the model it is about mid thigh length, so I knew that it would be about knee length on me and I should be able to wear it as a dress also:) The fabric is a blend and has a % of wool also which makes it quite a transeasonal piece.

Yesterday was very hot and my day off, so I opted for flat sandals, but I really think this needs heels and will wear with heels for work.  I also see from the pictures that a different bra will be better too :)  Thank goodness for photos:)

Included the Metalicus photos so you can see the other options for wearing this.  I do occasionally wish I were tall lol.

xxx Deborah

Well done on your win. I was out of the loop for most of this week with Xmas festivities and a few days in Sydney and missed your competition post. What a versatile piece you have scored here. A good look as always Deborah.

Wow, great news, happy for you Debs!:-) And how cool is that vest! How does it tie on the shoulders and  the waist? Does have some buttons, studs, or a sky? Just curious.

  • approprio replied 9 years ago

That's a lovely dress. I like it better on you than on the model in the pictures!

  • SarahTheWhite replied 9 years ago

Congrats! (Although I thought you should have been first!) I love this - it is so cool how versitile it looks, and I think it is great how you have styled it. I can see it with heels too, but the sansals are nice and cool/casual!

I don't know what the first or second prize was but you made out like a bandit with that outstanding vest...I can just imagine how much mileage you are going to get from that little piece...
    Congrats on winning...
I know you were the most stylish mom at the school production...

Yay glad you won a prize - YLF Deborah.

  • Sharon replied 9 years ago

Wow, that vest has your name written all over it! And the only thing better than a fabulous new item is a fabulous new item you get for free. :)

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

That vest is awesome. Also, I love your shoes.

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Thank you ladies.  My only cocern with the vest is that it might just be a little big.  It's a one size fits all.  I may end up having it taken in, not sure yet.  Will play before I make any decisions.

Jackiec,, if Metalicus were to open a boutique in my town, I would certainly apply for a job.  Wearing and selling Metalicus would hardly be work right:)

Lyn67, it has studs.  There are studs on both shoulders, on the inside at the waist and the outside at the waist.  They haven't tried to hide them, but rather make it look like they are just part of the design.

approprio, you are being too kind, but I will accept your compliment with much pleasure:)
