  Beautiful! Of course I have a huge soft spot for houndstooth anything and I love how that bag makes a fun juxatposition with your outfit. Also love the new vest and look forward to seeing it in rotation.

  You went shopping with me today (in my head, as a visual example) as my bestie and I hit Nordstrom's Topshop boutique and found the perfect black dress. One of your things, it looks like a mini on the model and is below the knee on the tiny person. My friend actually sized me down, and it looks great. Perfect :-)

  Olivegreen, you are so kind. The only downside to YLF is that I am far away from some of you:(. I would love to shop with you IRL:). That dress is gorgeous and I actually suspect it's much more attractive at the longer length it is on us petites. I do hope you will show us??

  Hahaha - Lisa - !  Anyways - wow, Deborah.  I can never quite tell what is going on in pictures with black and drapeyness, but boy are you looking great.  And I am really liking your hair at this length too.  I love the additional touches here that take any look from great, to outstanding: the perfectly manicured nails, the ring, a bag with interest, and artisan earrings.  Looking forward to seeing this new grey vest of yours too.  I want to be you when I grow up :)

  Curious...what did your new friend wear to go shopping? I find that I consider what my friends will be wearing when I'm with them as a couple of them dress so much more casually that I might for a given occasion.

  Ummlila, made me spit a little.coffee there, so true! Yes, if Deborah was not so nice, with the little funny or soft touches, she would look formidably well dressed. As someone else said about YLF lessons, it is the juxtaposition:-)

  Stunning outfit Deborah and just stellar with the bag.  I love how you manipulate texture and length so elegant.  Those are fab leggings.  I usually wear mine with a shorter tunic but I really like this and will have to play with your proportions.  That's such a lovely memory that they evoke of a special day, wonderful.  I do love my leather leggings I find them so versatile and they just up the cool factor of whatever you wear!!  Happy Mother's day!!

  I am late in chiming in.......Deborah!  You look amazing!!!   I am putting you at the top of my list of ladies that I want to be like when I "grow up"!  At first glance, I thought you were wearing knee high boots....then I read your details in your post...So neat to see all of the layers or details that you pulled together in one chic, black ensemble.  Love everything, not sure I could wear any single one item and look half as great!  Really chic look!!!!!!!!!!Really!!
