WIW : Structure and Drape

Hi Fabbers!

Happy Monday:)

Spring is slowly appearing and our temps are more regularly in the low to mid 20's. So time to slowly modify outfits to suit:).

Wearing Slim leg black pants (summer weight) and draped tunic and open toe booties. These booties have been awesome but I really need to replace them with something better, so am on the lookout:). They are one of those items that would really impact my wardrobe if I didn't have them. No jacket required today (indoors or out). Accessories kept simple. Silver drop earrings, leather wrap bracelet, and my silver Tiffany Paloma Picasso necklace.

I'm still feeing a bit exhausted from our big fashion parade fundraiser event on Friday night...will post my outfit soon:).

Comments, critique etc all most welcome and appreciated.

xxxDeborah

I love this look! That top drapes beautifully.

You look gorgeous, Deborah! I love those booties. Too bad they need to be replaced, because I think they look fantastic. If you're tired you certainly don't look it! :)

Great look Deborah. The Iconic had some great shooties/booties but they all seemed hight to me (not sure how high you go).

Thanks Caro :)  I scoured the Iconic yesterday and while I love the first pair, they are too high.  The second pair are cool but the sole is to rugged:)  I do want a heel but not too high as these go to work and beyond lol

I thought the second ones would be too rugged but I threw them in there hoping I could live vicariously through you :) No more black shoes for me :) :)
What's the highest heel you wear?

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Caro, my current pair are actually 7 cm and I can manage that quite nicely in a wedge or a block heel.  Anything higher and I might tip over lol  The first pair are 8.5 and I could probably manage them fine but I think I really want something more like 5 or 6 cm's.

Another great outfit! I've been searching for open toe boots / sandals too.

I love your outfit and the peeptoe booties finish it perfectly.
I hope you had a very successful fundraiser.

Love this and the peeptoes booties! I shall add I would have never ever guessed what's the point wearing booties like that, but now I can see them "sparkling" through the outfit and the given new season and weather conbditions! (Angie's post about black booties and black pants, helped-too:-)). YLF Debs in your  signiture  drapey oufits, and can't wait to see your fundraiser outfit!

I hope you find your replacement booties- they are such a great shape and style for this weather!

    Beautifully composed outfit!

No-one wears black like you do, Deb; the silver is perfect.  This looks elegant and interesting.  Good luck in your shoe quest :).

I wish I could wear things like this with as much flair!

Hi Deborah, that's a great transitional outfit! I love the arty drape on you. Your style just keeps getting more and more honed. Why am I not surprised to hear you have a Tiffany Paloma Picasso necklace? How perfect for you!

Rest up dear one, so you can feel as fab as you look. :)

  • Diana replied 9 years ago

Such a fab Deborah look. I think the peep toe bootie is such genius here. Just a teeny bit of bare skin showing at the very bottom to bookend your blonde hair. I hope you find the perfect replacement, because I agree they are essential.

And by the way we are necklace twins!
