WIW : Remix

Hi Ladies,

Not a work day, but had to go in for a couple of hours for a volunteer morning tea :)  Decided to wear my sweater from yesterday but remixed with different pieces.

Metalicus Jacket
Suzanne Grae Split Back Sweater
Serra Ponte Slim Leg Pants
Serra Black Leather Ankle Boots

It's quite a minimal look, I think, and while I did wear earring and a simple silver necklace, maybe next time I would wear the more 'statement' pendant below in my finds?

Thanks for looking:)

xxx Deborah

I am so impressed by how cohesive your bold, architectural style is. Every outfit is a statement about who you are. I do think the statement necklace would be a wonderful addition, but it looks great as is.

You look fab as always Deborah.  Although the outfit is all neutral and the accessories are subtle, I don't think I would describe it as minimal because I see a lot of texture and layers and visual interest in the outfit.

Thanks Jenn, I really appreciate you comment.  You have described my style goal so I am really thrilled that I may be on my way.

Cheryle, that's a good point re the textures and layers.  I was concerned the outfit may have looked a little bland.

Earrings and rings are my go to accessories.  So I kind of rely on earrings that make a subtle statement ie. noticeable but not over the top, to complete my outfits.

I echo Jenn. I also think you're not 'on your way' to achieve your style goal....you're already there!

I have never seen you in anything I'd call 'boring' or 'simple'. The lines, cuts and texture in your all neutral pieces make a very bold statement about your sense of time---every single time. You've got to be a genius to achieve that with neutrals and especially blacks!!

I agree with Maneera that your outfit is far from boring.  I admire the artful layering that adds so much interest.

You have hit it in one Deborah. I agree with everyone about the non-boringness!

Another great look, Deborah.  I agree that a statement pendant would lend even more interest, but it looks wonderful as is, too.

And another great look Deborah! I am not sure about the statement pendant and would have to see what you come up with if you do decide. I do like your clean simple lines. It is also nice to see you introducing colour here and there as well :)

Oh, I love the split back on that sweater! I also adore the layering.

You look great as is, yet I agree, the pendant would be a great extra here. That's a fab piece. Is it silver? You find such cool jewellery.

I love your minimalist black and gray with white...I almost wouldn't add jewelry..There is something fetching about the simplicity of you...

I love this look Deborah. The split back is fabulous and it looks unexpected and interesting under the jacket. I am constantly amazed at your finds from places like Suzanne Grae, BigW etc. !!!! You have made me think beyond my usual haunts.

Your boots are great too. The heel height is perfect.

Love. And I am really liking your hair at this length. Everything about you looks perfectly pulled together and polished.

    Fab - as always!

    Thank you all so much!

CocoC, I take Angie's mantra of leave not retail stone unturned very seriously :)

I like the way the sweater looks with the jacket from the back. Your outfits are never boring...always modern and sophisticated. You are in the master class category of style! :)
