WIW : Refresher

HI Ladies! Happy Weekend.

Following yesterday's post about refresher purchases as the season starts to drag out, I wore the new cocoon cardigan today! And it was lovely to reach for something new and did make me feel more motivated and excited about getting dresses.

It's comfortable, warm and I think it's going to be quite a workhorse as I can see it working well over quite a lot of my clothing...squee.

I have worn it over my Monki dress, tights and tall boots. I quite like that this creates a slightly different silhouette for me. Nice for a change.

Apologies for headless shots, but as you can see Im looking a tad tired. Master 11 has developed a flu and had a lot of trouble sleeping last night... so, so did I:)

Thanks for looking and feedback, suggestions for improvement, etc, always appreciated.

xxx Deborah

#4 Bonus short of yesterdays cut and colour. For those interested, I have found putting bleach on my scalp just too much for my skin to cope with, so we are back to foils. I also decided the more cropped style of cut wasn't for me and we clippered the back!! It's an interesting process going short and working out exactly which style of cut feels most like me.

I wasn't able to see all the detail in the other thread but that sweater looks really nice and drapes beautifully on you Deborah.  Nice find.  I'm glad it perked up your interest in fashion.

Thanks Dianthus! Sometimes it seems it doesn't take much to bring a little renewed excitement back into our wardrobe:) I couldn't believe how comfy and cosy the cardigan was today. I didn't want to take it off and I think I might build an outfit around it for tomorrow lol.

That'll be a workhorse for sure! Great for both going out and lounging.

Yep, refreshers, especially during a dominant season, are a must!

Diaphanously drapey, Deborah! Fluid with a hard edge! Love!

Wishing a speedy recovery to DS!

It looks lovely Deborah- just as nice as the Metalicus one and I'll bet a better deal too! Save your pennies for a Spring meet-up next month ? :)
Sorry to hear of DS getting the Flu, it is tough to see them unwell!

Deborah, you look beautiful. You are a master of signature style.

I'm becoming a firm believer in mid season wardrobe refreshers - sometimes adding just one piece can help us get "over the hump"!

Love this cocoon sweater on you / the shape is fantastic and works really well over the dress. Looking forward to seeing more stylings.

Sorry to hear about the flu bug - hope Master is on the mend :)

Wow, the dress and sweater really work together to create an elegantly oversized look. Nice refresher!

Ooooooh Deborah, you look gorgeous! There is something very Annie Lennox about your look, it is just so perfect!

Sending good vibes to the young man to get better!

I love this outfit and the new sweater! Gorgeous!! I also think the back of your hair looks really cool that way - the clipper cut shows your natural color in contrast to the lighter. So great! I hear you about the bleach on the scalp... I totally forgot to warn you about that part. I must be used to it by now. :-) I really like how you are working with it and trying things until you find what is exactly right for you... Although I have loved your hair through every step of the process!

Geez - I love that sweater on you - what a great silhouette.  And , as a short-hair lover myself, I really like the back of your hair - very sexy and modern. You present a very sophisticated and well-thought out package :)

May I please move into your dining room?  Or at least eat dinner at that table?

  • Debra replied 9 years ago

Love, love love :) I love this sweater and might have to hunt one down.
Is this the piper sweater ??
The whole silhouette is perfect and I really like your hair clippered at the back.
I only have foils too, allover bleach irritates my scalp and Has me scratching....not a good look when working with children :)

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Debra thank you! I could see the cardigan working beautifully with your dresses;). It's from Target. One size fits all. Will see if I can find the link for you. I still have my eye on the grey Piper one;)

Looks great - both clothing and hair refresher!

  • Nicole D replied 9 years ago

Deborah, that sweater is stunning on you - Target?!  Must find in Canada!  I love your hair always and like the shave...must feel cool.  Hope Master 11 feeling better - so funny that our flu shot season is still a few months away. Another reminder of our opposite hemispheres,

I really like the sweater over the dress with your tall boots. What a great look on you. I'm sorry to hear you and Master 11 got the flu. Hope you're feeling better soon.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

So sorry that Master 11 is ill. I hope you both get more rest tonight!

Love your mid-season refresher and am a firm believer in this concept! The hair looks really good, too.

  • Debra replied 9 years ago

Aha..... Thank you so much I will pop in tomorrow and have a look :)

It's their Hot Options label.;). If you can't find it let me know and I can see if my store has more:).

  • carolbee replied 9 years ago

I also love this look, the cocoon cardi looks great. And I just happen to be going to Target tomorrow....

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Carole, good luck! It would look great on you too. Look in the sale stock. It's part of the already reduced and another 15 or 20% off.

  • LAR101 replied 9 years ago

Wow. Just totally blown away with this.
