WIW Pony Dress

Hi Lovely Ladies,

Still battling this bug! Spent the last two days in bed (thank you so much for keeping me company) and I really missed getting dressed on those days!!

Back at work today but still not 100%.

It's "Seattle" weather here today, raining, cold and overcast - so Seattle i hope you are having a sunny day:) So to cheer me up I'm wearing a shirt dress I bought about a month ago - first outing.

It's navy with red and pink horses on it. I removed the fabric belt and added a slim red belt. Worn over Ponte leggings and boots. Added my faux leather jacket for the drive into work.

How does this work. I'm always a bit wary of slim belts but I felt this worked ok. And for some fun pattern mixing I added my red and white polka dot earrings ... just because I can!

Thanks for looking and as always your suggestions, thoughts etc are much appreciated.

Have a great day!
xxx Deborah

Can't beat equestrian boots with a horse print dress. :)

May that stubborn cold leave you in peace ASAP.

Debora I will accept that virtual sunshine:) and Angie, receiving those feel good energies:) Thank you both.

Glad you like the dress. It's a bit different for me, but I thought it was fun for a change. And it fits nicely into my FFBO of leggings/boots/tunic.

Classy and conversational, hope your feeling better, feeling your winter pain and look out for the earth quakes :) xxx

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Thanks Jen. I forget where you are in Aus! My husband felt the quake in his studio in our back garden but I didn't feel anything in the house. Friends in Melbourne also felt it! Hopefully no more tonight.

The slim belt looks perfect with that dress - love it. Hope you can shake the cold bug.

You look wonderful in the dress! Such a cute print! I am so sorry you are still feeling ill.

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

    Yes, this works beautifully!

Another idea (to increase options for the dress) would be to lift the dress so it is blousey on top, and belt it. To make it more tunic than dress. You could wear either with leggings or jeans.

You would probably need a slightly more substantial belt for this idea to work, and to belt it at a drop waist level.

I love horses. I love shirt dresses. I love this! and the styling is perfect. Do you try and fail alot before you take a snap, or is this a first hit every time?

  • Sheila replied 11 years ago

I like this a lot...perfect pairing of the dress and boots. Weather is drizzly in Seattle today. Sigh.

Gosh, so sorry to hear you have been under the weather. You don't look it here though. I adore the print of that dress-looks like something from Modcloth or Anthropologie in the US- and the colors are so stunning on you. Are you developing a hankering for navy rather than black these days?
