WIW : Not All Black!

Hi Ladies,

Sorry to go on about it, but I am loving my new job!  Busy and challenging *sigh*.  Today I knew I would be at my desk (with lots of trips to the photocopier) all day as I am putting together a new training package.  So I opted for a more casual look today.

The vest was one of my Mother's Day gifts (for those who saw the post, I returned the grey long line structured vest) and I am actually looking forward to wearing it in Spring with a sleeveless top:)

Wearing:

Knit Vest : "He Doesn't Know Why"
Grey Top : Piper (Myer)
Pants : Katies
Boots : Hush Puppies
Scarf : Brown Sugar
Gloves : Portmans

It was definitely cold enough for a coat today but I drive to and from work and we have parking on site, so I braved it.  Was freezing when I left to come home tho lol.

    Ooh this is excellent, Deborah. I love the texture on the long gilet, great fit too. This is a fab silhouette on you, and you wear greys very well;-)
    I also love how it looks with the scarf (and gloves), and the pendant is beautiful.

    Aren't you glad you found this job?...There will just be a special spring in your step when you are happy...Great look..gray vest and all...I have to smile at your touch of winter...Its chilly here but not supposed to be and my pedicured toes are crying for sandals...Are we ever happy?...

    Fantastic textures and lines! I particularly love the grey top with its little bit of gathering at the waist. It looks so soft yet elegant -- a perfect work combination. Thrilled to hear the job is so engaging.

    This is fabulous! I love the textural mix. The vest almost looks like chain mail. (Ceit would be all over it if she were here, don't you think)? And the soft greys are stunning on you and very sophisticated. 

    This job has not only lifted your mood, it has ramped your style up even further, if that is possible! 

    Love your earrings, too. I want a pair exactly like that. They are so fab. 
    Necklaces are great, too.

    Black has always looked great on you but I am loving your recent outfits with a little more color variety. The combination on grey tones here looks so chic and the layers so cozy. I'm really excited to see what else you come up with!

    I love the non-black outfits on you, Debs. This is another killer look. Gorgeous Autumn textures. 

    (I forgot to mention in your "pink thread" that the pink blazer you wore that looks SO stunning is classic, and that the modern classic combination looked as amazing as your arty draped looks. Fun to change things up).

    I love the first look especially with the gloves and the scarf. It pulls it all together so beautifully with a little extra detail. I think that's why winter/fall clothing is so much fun to together, so much opportunity to add more!

    Deborah - wonderful outfit and adore that vest on you.  Fun and elegant and cozy!!  It's so perfect.  I mean to ask, you've been doing the scarf as necklace and it's so uber chic and flattering.  How do you to that tie?  So glad you are happy at the new job!!  Change is so difficult and it's just wonderful when things work out for the best!! ;-)

    This is so sophisticated-looking ... that lighter gray really brings out your eyes, which are beautiful, while staying true to your black aesthetic (after all, gray is just light black, right??)
