WIW : New Droppies

Hi Fab Ones,

As you may know I have a bit of a thing for drop crotch pants:)

These are my latest addition:)  Stepping out of my comfort zone with a printed pant this time. It's animal print but still in my usual colour palette.  Wore them today and I really enjoyed them.

I know they are an acquired taste, but what do you think?

Thanks for looking,

xxx Deborah

Lovely! They look great. The proportions are very good, in terms of the colours to the print. Very clever styling I think!

  • rachylou replied 8 years ago

They're great. You have a good eye. I'm not sure I'd have well, spotted the spotted pants. (I have attention blindness.)

  • Lyn D. replied 8 years ago

    Are they croppy-droppies?

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Lol Lyn yes but on me they are the perfect length! Can wear with flats or heels:).

  • Lyn D. replied 8 years ago

Perfect on you, especially in pic 3 where we see more leg.

  • Sally replied 8 years ago

I love drop crotch pants but never seem to be able style myself.  You are inspiring me with how you style it with that jacket.

  • Staysfit replied 8 years ago

They look great on you. Lyn should win a prize for "croppy droppies"!
YLF is both informative and entertaining. :-)

  • Bijou replied 8 years ago

These look amazing on you and I love the print.

  • Sal replied 8 years ago

Lovely Deborah! I think you will have lots of ways to wear these. I like the jacket here.

  • Summer replied 8 years ago

I like them on you, Deborah.  You wear print equally well on top or bottom.

  • Ledonna N. replied 8 years ago

You have one of the coolest wadrobes ever. Lovely addition

  • carolbee replied 8 years ago

I really like this Deborah even though I'm not a fan of the drop crotch. I think the difference here is that its not an exaggerated drop and of course the fact that its black/gray AND animal print means it must be a winner!

I would be very happy wearing that outfit! Great pants, and I adore peeptoes.

  • Eliza replied 8 years ago

Wow! Lovely proportions on you. The asymmetrical top really works well here. You look great in this. I have yet to try a dropped crotch; think it takes finesse to pair them this well.

  • Elizabeth P replied 8 years ago

Styled to perfection!  You really are a master of proportions.

  • Janet replied 8 years ago

LOL I wondered what Droppies were. I feel self-conscious in my jumpsuit from the other day (the most dropped crotch item I own), but you own the look.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

    Yay for spotty croppy droppies.

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Lol ladies here in Aus they seem to be fondly referred to as "droppies"!

A popular look is this stripey version from Bohemian Traders;)

  • Elizabeth P replied 8 years ago

    For funky inmates.

  • Janet replied 8 years ago

I like your spotted ones a lot more than those stripey ones. And your styling is better too!

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Thanks Janet:). Funny mine are reading as spotty because they are definitely animal print:)

Elizabeth that is so funny! The image I now have in my head ....lol

  • lyn67 replied 8 years ago

Great step out for a great look! These are still you, due to the color scheme and the always spot on yours styling!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 8 years ago

Deb - the styling of your droppies (giggling as I type that word...) is spot on. You really have a knack for wearing draped items that never seem to overwhelm your petite frame. You own your look and that is something to be admired :)

  • Angie replied 8 years ago

Dropped Crotch Fabness. Love the shorter 'do too.

  • kkards replied 8 years ago

You make everything look so elegent and lovely--- Just fab

  • Tanya replied 8 years ago

You totally own this look.  Perfect styling of the news pants.

  • replied 8 years ago

Love it.  And if you had ever suggested even a year ago that  I would say that about an animal print drop crotch pant, I would have denied it ;)  I am attracted to the look of the drop-crotch harem but don't have the confidence in own femininity to be able to wear them and not feel yucky.  I actually found a pair (plain black) in a store a couple of weeks ago, but when it came to picking them up and trying them on, I just couldn't do it.  I didn't want to face even my own scorn.  You just rock this look, and I'll live vicariously through you :)

  • AJ replied 8 years ago

I am having a good laugh over the responses!

I didn't think I would like it, but I do! It adds a bit of fun to your black edge. Nicely styled!

I am more a student than an adopter of some of these fashion-forward styles...have to say I haven't acquired the taste for this one yet but enjoying watching from the sidelines and learning to be more open-minded. I do love the color combination and it's terrific with your skin/hair coloring.

p.s. Deborah, just found your blog and liking what I see...will go back and read more of it!

I love them on you.  On some people they look like PJ's but you wear them with a lot of class.

  • citygirldc replied 8 years ago

Yes, you look great in them. Someone like me who's is 5'1" would probably not looks so great in these trouser (may look even shorter) even though I would love to own a pair. Plus, my big thighs would probably chafe. LOL!!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 8 years ago

They look great on you! I like them in this outfit, and I like your spotted ones more than the striped ones you showed farther down. The animal print to me looks more sophisticated, the stripe more playful.

  • Lyn D. replied 8 years ago

Pss citygirldc I am sure Deborah won't mind me saying that you are similar heights!

  • amiable replied 8 years ago

I love these.  I think I need a similar pair!

  • Mochi replied 8 years ago

Just another Day in the Life of Super-Fab Deborah.

  • Karin L H replied 8 years ago

I like these on you! And the rest of the outfit makes it look very stylish and not "sloppy" like these pants might look sometimes. Very nice!

  • Cococat replied 8 years ago

I've never warmed to droppies but you make me want a pair! So fab.
