WIW : My New Favourite Pants

Hi Ladies,

Fell hard for these and I'm wearing them for the first time tonight out for dinner.

Jersey Paris Pants - Motto
Draped Top - Katie's
Sandals - Kmart

These pants now have pride of place hanging next to my skirted leggings as one of my two favourite bottoms :) They are insanely comfortable and surprisingly flattering (I think). I was expecting them to fall into the JFE category.

Thanks for looking. What do you think? More than JFE?

Happy weekend
xxxDeborah

Wow you look gorgeous! Definitely more than JFE.  This looks like a very glamorous jumpsuit, it is fantastic how the black of your top matches the pants.

  • Cococat replied 8 years ago

Beautiful. Very much more than JFE. (Sneaking over to the Motto site for a nosey :) )

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

    Coco has your order arrived??

  • Cococat replied 8 years ago

No but it's on its way! I'm quite excited...the delay has added to the excitement I think..lol.

ps. Goodness, I just had a look at them on the Motto site, and I would never have given them a second glance. I think that you need to be the Motto model Deborah. :)

Coco can't wait for you to get your goodies:). And thank you. Without sounding arrogant (I hope) I prefer how they look on me. Other ladies I have fitted look better than the model too! Weird!

  • Karie replied 8 years ago

Sweet sister, you look stunning in this outfit! Those pants were made for you. Enjoy your evening out!

  • Thirkellgirl replied 8 years ago

I think I might be a bit hippy for those but they look fantastic on you. I think your hair looks wonderful, too. You've inspired me to keep on with my own grow-out journey. This is about the point where I get frustrated with my hair and whack it off again.

I love the drape of the pant and find it to be very flattering Deborah.

Are you growing your hair out?  I haven't spent enough time reading on YLF to keep up with what everyone is up to lately.

You look great!  I love the belt and how it provides a break between the drapey top and the drapey pants.

  • kkards replied 8 years ago

deborah, you have knack for making drapey look sleek and well tailored. and the belt is just fab! love this.

  • Bonnie replied 8 years ago

This is a great look on you. The belt is perfect with the drapey pants.

  • Nebraskim replied 8 years ago

Gorgeous. I am envious of the KMart sandals.

  • Astrid replied 8 years ago

I like them! Perfect pants for your style.

  • unfrumped replied 8 years ago

These are quite cool--sort of like a harem pant but better, without the droopy crotch. Nice taper in the leg and fun with those sandals--I forget your weather is warming up!

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Thank you very much Fabbers! I do love these pants:).

Cheryle, no not growing my hair, just coming up to cut and colour time:). My hair grows faster than the speed of light (just kidding) but it dies grow fast and I usually have s little tidy up at 3 weeks to help me get thru to the 6 week cut and colour xx

Amazing. These are definitely not JFE - they are without question flattering on you. And I love how the drape of the top echoes the drape in the pants. They look like they were meant to be worn together.

I am STILL considering getting those half-skirted leggings/pants - the Nevada pants. Do you have any pictures of you trying those on? I am interested in how they might look on a "real" person (not that models aren't real people, but their proportions generally are not very much like mine).

Were these an American brand, I wouldn't hesitate to order them, but with shipping they would be close to $100, and it would not be worth it to ship them back, so I kind of have to be sure before I order!

    PLONK!

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Echo, the Nevada Pant is stunning.  I have tried them on and considered buying them. But never took pics.  If I have time when next in, I will dress up and take a pic:)   One of my girlfriends has them.

They are beautiful fabric and quite a streamlined design.  I was absolutely and pleasantly surprised at how good they looked on me. Being only 5ft2 I thought the length of the skirt would be off on me but somehow the proportions were lovely.

The Nevada Pant is now $69.95 (on sale) and shipping is 25.00. I personally think they would be a great investment and you have my word I would never recommend something if I couldn't honestly vouch for the quality etc of the garment:)    Echo I don't think I have ever 'seen' you so I can't comment re your body type but your profile says apple / hourglass which is what I am, so I would assume they would work for you. xxx

Elizabeth, I *knew* you would like these my style sister :)

  • Echo replied 8 years ago

Okay, just one last question. Are the Nevada pants a fabric like the Paris pants you are wearing in this post? Or are they are more cotton-type jersey? My preference is the former (easier to fit, even if the size is slightly off). And do they run TTS? Smaller? I tend to have thick legs and sometimes cotton jersey doesn't stretch enough to accommodate my calves. Sorry to have so many questions.

  • Sal replied 8 years ago

A lovely elegant edgy and definitely flattering look!

  • Jaime replied 8 years ago

Gorgeous jumpsuit effect and I love how you have acquired a signature belt. Motto should use you as their model and stylist.

  • Beth Ann replied 8 years ago

What wonderful drape and fit, Deborah.  Excellent choice, and I'm so glad you shared them with us.

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 8 years ago

They are so elegant and chic on you, Deborah. Once again, you outdo the online picture in "selling" the clothing item. Very flattering indeed! I like how you're wearing them with the drapy top and statement belt.

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Echo they are the dressy jersey like the Paris Pants.  Motto don't do the cotton type jersey (like tshirt material) at all :)  This jersey is a nice weight which means the fabric falls and drapes very well.  My skirted leggings (the bella pants) are the same fabric as the Nevada and everything stays in place.  I have skinny legs so the pant bit does wear like a skinny pant rather than a legging.

I would say their sizes are true to size and heading toward generous.  I My bottoms are all size AU size 10 (US 6) which I would say is my true size:)

  • Sveta replied 8 years ago

Love them on you Deborah, they suit your style perfectly.
I wish I was a cool as you are to wear those but I would never dare :-(

  • Helen11 replied 8 years ago

Lol, Sveta, same here. Deborah, smashing as always!

  • Style Fan replied 8 years ago

Gorgeous.  I think you should be the Motto model.

  • Joy replied 8 years ago

Those are keepers, in fact, you need them in any other colors that they come in too.

  • anne replied 8 years ago

I can't believe how good these look on you - I would not have suspected it from the model

  • anne replied 8 years ago

And I've been checking Kmart to see if they have those shoes (my size usually sells out fast)

  • Deborah replied 8 years ago

Anne one of my girlfriends asked me about these shoes and then went and bought them! Not sure if I should be flattered or bothered lol ...we frequently mix in the same circles !

  • Eliza replied 8 years ago

Swoon. You look amazing.  Love those pants and they are so you. They add so much interest to your looks.

  • anne replied 8 years ago

Go with flattered Deb - and they are kind of a basic design, so I don't think people will notice too much.

  • Emily replied 8 years ago

    You look beautiful. Amazing pants.
