WIW : Just Another Manic Monday

Happy Monday!

I had a school presentation this morning (in my work polo) and then dashed home to change for the rest of the day as I have meetings.

Not a lot of tiime so my process was pretty haphazard this morning...I hope I haven't forgotten to put something on lol.

Draped jacket, navy blouse, Black midi knit skirt and shooties.

I am really enjoying adding blues and navy to my wardrobe and particularly enjoying pairing it with black. Pre YLF I would have NEVER worn black and navy together:)

And just for a change I'm wearing grey nail polish:). Not sure you can see it but I like it with the navy and black.

Suggestions for improvement welcomed.

Have a lovely day.
xxxDeborah

Fabulous, Deborah!  I am also loving the blue and black combo, veering to ink blue especially.

Just love this! The midi is so sophisticated with that jacket, and I love the navy with the black.

The fact that you look this amazing even in a rush is a testament to how well you're honing your style and your wardrobe. I love the way the shooties add some shine and glam to the outfit, without being show-stealing.

Fabulous, Deborah! The more I see navy and black together, the more I like the combo. I even wore navy shoes with my black jeans the other day, and it was the only navy in my outfit. I know, I like to live life on the edge. ;)

So, back to you. You are breaking all kinds of rules with your skirt length, but it's really working. What is the secret? The fact that your midi is very tapered and you're wearing a heel? It looks great and SO fresh on you!

This has to be one of your best, ever.

    Thanks gorgeous girls:)

FF I am definitely finding that limited my colour palette and fine tuning what's in my closet is having an impact on the length of time it takes to get organised in the mornings... it is good :)

Claire, you do live on the edge:) But I understand what you are saying because with navy and black I was the same. I would have thought black pants, navy shoes was really radical and I would have been looking down at the my feet all day. I think the midi does work because of those things you mention, heels and the skirt is very tapered. Midi's are not my preferred skirt length but somehow they work better for me in the warmer months when I can have my legs bare.

I really love this. I think navy is a perfect addition to black in your wardrobe, looks very sophisticated.
I am always amazed how good you look in all these draped tops. My goodness, you were born to wear them for sure!

Perfect as usual. You amaze me with your consistency. I envy that. I am all over the map.

    Killer

    Lovely palette and proportions.

I was just about to say what Angie said! This is STUNNING and I want to copy it next summer!

Deb, I feel the same about midis working better for me when I can show some skin. I think the leg skin bookends with our lighter hair and especially when the overall outfit is dark it adds just what is needed.

I love navy and black together. Fantastic outfit!

Yep I can see the gray nail paint and you look gorgeous! I love your arty yet polished looks. And navy with black is beautiful and something I wouldn't have paired either pre-YLF :).

  • Debra replied 10 years ago

Just perfect...love the longer length on you and the grey nails are gorgeous :)

This is right up my alley, right down to the color you have added this year! I hope to someday spot a navy blouse much like yours (makers of my Pleione hi-lo racerback, can you hear my prayers?). Hope you had a great presentation!

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Rae, the presentation was great:) A small country school of 60 primary school children raised over $2500 for Red Cross to aid the victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines.  I was there to receive the donation and share with the kids how their money will be used.  They were adorable!  And it was all the kids idea to respond to the tragedy.
