WIW : JFE

Happy Sunday!

Church this morning and really felt like wearing my culottes.

Metalicus Culottes
Basque Cross Back Sweater (Navy)
- white floaty cami top underneath
Serra Leather Ankle Boots
Motto Moto Jacket

I trust this is JFE.  The trouble with the culotte look is that is 'widening' so I do have to be in the mood to wear them and not be bothered about looking 'slender'.  Heeled footwear is a must tho:)  I do have a couple of cropped to the waist tops that I think will work with the culottes but I am try to eliminate some tummy lumpage before I try that look :)

I think it must have looked ok because my friend's 20 something daughter complimented me and wants me to grab her a pair of the culottes when next in at Metalicus :)

I am loving the navy sweater and really happy I bought it.  I have a number of tops that can be layered under it for different looks.. and it's warm!

So cold here that I am spotting women in 'puffer' jackets.  And for the first time I am considering getting one!! LOL

Hope this looks ok.

xxx Deborah

The culottes look fresh and stylish on you. You work magic with. Your wardrobe.

The jumper is fab, and I love it over the white and with moto.

I like the culottes on you too. It is obvious that they have a 'widening' cut, and that it's not your body shape....that cut would totally freak me out!.....but they do look good. :-)

    Lovely, really lovely.
Stay strong: No to the puffer. I was occasionally tempted at early morning soccer matches in Sydney, but really, a good wool coat is warm enough, and that I can wear the rest of the time as well!
Have had not much call for either in Brisbane so far this winter. There was some cool days, and one cold day, but today is a balmy 26 degrees celsius! Had to get my sandals out again :)

You have elegant edge nailed Deborah!

I think more than JFE. yes, the culottes have a different silhouette, but as CocoC said, it's obvious that it is flowy fabric and not you!

It must be really cold to want a puffer jacket!! IMHO, *that* is 'widening'!
However, I would rather be warm than fashionable and freezing.

We feel like Winter is over here, though we might get the usual cooler patch in August. Like Lucy, we had very warm weather today and the kids even went for a quick swim.
    Stay warm!

I love this look. Culottes can indeed be widening, but I think they must look wider from the perspective of the person wearing them than they do to others. These do not make you look wide. I love how you have styled them. I love the jumper, and I love the moto jacket over everything.

Buying that sweater in navy was such a smart purchase. Fabulous outfit !!

Agree with Staysfit....you may feel more fabric than others see. Definitely JFE!

I'd say it's more than jfe .... You look amazing. Elegant edge, indeed, as mentioned!

Definitely more than JFE! You look great!

I love the version with the jacket because it gives the outfit more structure. Gorgeous culottes. YES - you have to be in the mood for their widening effect don't you, Debs. Fun trendy piece though.

    Looks great

Yes, it has been quite cold, and even colder in Bendigo!
I spied a lady at Choir yesterday wearing her puffer jacket, and it did look temptingly cosy :)
    Love your culotte outfit :)

I love the combo of all 3 pieces.

Great! Love the back detail on the sweater and the jacket was made for you!

Looks great Deborah, I love that navy top on you very much indeed.

I have a puffer, it is quite slimfit, and I do enjoy wearing it for some occasions.  For me this is mostly for watching sport or the odd walk,  I bought mine as a liner for a ski jacket but I tend to wear the puffer part more than the ski jacket.  I don't feel very stylish in it, but I do feel warm:)

I've wanted a pair of black culottes all summer, with no luck.  I love them with booties and lovely drape.  The proportions are pleasing, and I think any widening effect is minimized by the the delicious movement IRL.

    Great outfit Deb!

I love having the puffer as an option. I do have two wool like coats, but they aren't waterproof. I like the puffer for
    Rainy days
Watching my daugher play sport when it could be muddy
    Bushwalking etc
Wearing around the house if I'm cold (I don't do that much these days as we are getting very soft and putting the heater on a lot, but I did in our previous house)
It can be machine washed witch is always handy
I don't think mine would be any good for really cold Canadian (etc) weather though. I got mine at Rivers.
