WIW : Inspired by Shannon

Happy Weekend!

I just loved Shannon's outfit today:

So much so that I needed to do my own version of it:)  In fact I was so inspired I jumped out of the bed to pull it together and forgot to tell Shannon how awesome she looks.. woops!

It's Saturday here and had some shopping to do with Master 12 in preparation for his return to school for Term 2 and then a visit to MIL.

Rolling jeans is a bit of a new thing for me and I have shifted from not liking it at all to loving it.  I think the footwear makes or breaks the rolled jean IMHO.  I am thrilled that jeans fit me again:)  I love the leg line and the wash and it's great to get them back into rotation.  The tunic is from Metalicus and the sandals from Rubi.

Autumn is great weather for covering either arms or legs and then leaving the other bare.  And it's not too cool so summer footwear that has some coverage seems to work well.

Thanks for looking, and Shannon thanks for the inspiration:)
xxx Deborah

PS.  Thought I would confess that one of the reasons I haven't been as frequent on the forum is that I am totally immersed in House of Cards.  We just got Netflix and I am addicted to this series.  To be honest, the language and sexual content would normally put me off, but it's just so compelling and the characters are so interesting.  I am only on Series 1, episode 11 (I think) and I have decided Francis is definitely a psychopath lol.  I believe this series has been huge in the US??

Loving this look, but I would have thought sleeveless was a bit on the cold side?

We have also got Netflix snd I am enjoying House of Cards too, but only up to about epidode 4.

Very nice Deborah.  Another Netflix user here and I have seen the entire series.  I sometimes wonder which of the two is worse - Claire or Frank.  I enjoyed Claire's style in the first two seasons almost as much as the story.

Great job...looks like that scarf is big enough you could open it up and wrap around your shoulders if you got too cold...good planning.

Fabulous! What a beautiful and interesting outfit.

Deborah - I am not usually a tunic over skinnies girl (you know me and leggings) but this is awesome.  I totally agree, the proportions are absolutely just right!  Fantastic with the nude booties.  I have a preference for the outfit without the scarf because I just love the purity of line and elegance.  The scarf, however, is totally awesome.  That's so funny about HOC.  I had never heard about it until my BFF mentioned she cut her hair and bought glasses to look like Claire.  I've been fascinated by the internet pics of Robyn Wright's wardrobe since then.  I just bought seasons one and two (actually to see all the clothes lol!!)  So that's fab that you are liking it.  So funny to have a huge style icon when I have not even watched the show yet!!  Fab, fab outfit and happy viewing!!

I like both with and without scarf.

Oooh -- this is gorgeous, Deb -- one of my faves on you yet! I love the rolled jeans and agree completely that the footwear makes or breaks it. To me, this type of sandal bootie or a similar caged sandal is about the best; some booties come close; and all other shoes are not as good. ;)

Love this with or without the scarf.

    I LOVE #3.

Killer. Proportions are fabulous, and the palette is flattering. I LOVE the choice of non-black scarf and the footwear, Debs. To my eye, these lighter neutral tweaks liven up the outfit very effectively.

I didn't enjoy House of Cards, but am glad you are.

Great outfit! The jeans look great, love them rolled with those shoes! I slightly prefer #1 without the scarf, it looks a bit "heavy" to me with that scarf... but it's not a bad look at all, just prefer the first :)

Well I'm sure I don't need to tell you what I think...but I will anyway! Gorgeous! I love the simplicity of this type of outfit. And I'm terribly flattered :)

Gorgeous - love everything about it, and wish I had the pieces to copy it. :)

The scarf...so pretty. Will be looking for those colours.

Love, love, love ... And Deborah, stick with house of cards ... It only gets smarter and more evil!!

  • Marilyn replied 5 years ago

Another fantastic look, Deb.  A pair of nude, open toe booties are on my to get list.

Love House of Cards.  They are characters you love to hate.

  • Gail replied 5 years ago

Love the outfit, the shoes especially.

  • shevia replied 5 years ago

Looks great especially with the scarf!

Sublime Deb, you must tire of being so fab! I'm totally stealing Shannon's and now your brill idea!

  • Joy replied 5 years ago

This is a great way to expand your signature look. Now I want to steal this idea too.

    Looking great Deborah!
We haven't got into HOC although I think we watched the first 2 episodes.
I often fall asleep in front of the TV at night which doesn't help either.
