WIW : Grey Wrap

Hi Ladies,

A sunny winters day today, Spring is coming!

Today for church I wore the following:

Monki Cocoon Dress in black
Rubi Knit Grey Wrap
Target OTK flat boots
Mushu Coral Clutch

To be honest, I am not quite sure where this wrap fits in my 5 Piece French Wardrobe lol.  But let's worry about that later ;)  I recall last year about this time I purchased a black knit cocoon cardigan just as a refresher piece for the final weeks of winter.  I think this wrap was that kind of purchase.  A little something new to keep me motivated so to speak.

I loved the grey tone and the chunky knit.  Despite how it appears, it's not quite as heavy as it looks and will probably transition nicely into early Spring and then resurface again next Autumn:)

For a pop of colour I carried my coral clutch (it's first outing having bought it months ago). It'a a great size for a clutch and I can fit keys, phone, glasses, purse, etc.

Thanks for looking and hope everyone is having a fab weekend.

xxx Deborah

P.s. looking a bit stern in these photos!  I was under pressure to be making lunch for my hungry boys ;)

What a lovely dramatic topper! I love the clutch and wish that I could find that size. Your outfit speaks of spring.

Joy used the word I wanted to : dramatic. This is really nice - big and dramatic without being overwhelming . Coral clutch is absolutely perfect here . Happy Sunday to you! I'm off to bed to start my Sunday in 8 hours :)

Reading the last bit of your writing and seeing the pictures, the only words that pop up in my mind are 'Yummy Mummy'!
You're so gorgeous in these pics with the oversized knit wrap, coral clutch, gorgeous hair and the pop of color on your lips to match ☺
    YLF!

Your accessories just rock this; I would never have thought of the coral.  Brilliant touch!

I agree with the word dramatic and would add architectural.  Beautifully done as always.

Perfect piece for jazzing up your last days of Winter! Love all about this wrap, the color, the cut, the weight and texture! Is this only for the outerwear? Love the pop of color and the long pendant to all of it! They  are whispering some  sring breezes to me, somehow:-)

I just ADORE the architectural drama of this piece! And of course you've styled it impeccably with other fantastic pieces — perfect.

The back view of this piece is my favorite. It's spectacular.

That coral clutch, really adds to this outfit. Love it!

Love that wrap! Dramatic is the word of the day. Absolutely dying over that coral clutch too.

I like the way it falls and drapes! It will be a fun piece to play with. Love it paired with the clutch.

    Hope lunch was fab!

I like the shape --kind of softly architectural.  This is sort of what I imagine a famous female sculptor wearing -- arty, but disciplined, and slightly mysterious.

Fabulous. I love the pop of red.

Dramatic and very "you." Enjoy the sunshine :)

Wow, Dramatic it is. As a curvy petite, I would shy away from something like this but boy did you shatter that misconception! Love your style!

  • unfrumped replied 8 years ago

    Very cool!

Coral clutch is fab and reminds me, I love coral but use more of a cool palette, but accessories don't have that problem. As in the orange part of one of Angie's recent ensembles. Coral is so interesting because I think it does go with gray, as you've shown here, but also great with summer colors, white, olive, tan.

Fabulous, Deborah! I love the texture and how the drapey, chunky knit contrasts with the bright, sleek bag. Beautifully chosen as always!

Beautiful, as always. You look so lovely in grey!

I'd use the same descriptors here - dramatic, architectural, yet elegant and so very YOU
