WIW : For A Little Bowen Therapy

Hi Fabbers,

Not super exciting, and worn on my day off to go for a Bowen Therapy appointment and some running around.

I am booked for a cut and colour on Tuesday so please excuse how feral my hair looks :)

Skinny Jean/Jeggings, with sleeveless knit tunic, cobalt sandals, animal print scarf and featuring my new bag purchased yesterday

Thanks for looking.
xxx Deborah

I really like how you made a dark column and then brightened it with your shoes, bare feet/ankles/arms and the scarf. Really nice.

I like cobalt on you so much, Deb. You look lovely - including hair. You should see how MY hair looked the last week before the appointment - arghh!

  • Runcarla replied 10 years ago

    Beautiful! Wonderful use of cobalt.

  • pil replied 10 years ago

    Just. Wow.

I love the blue on you, and the bookending with the scarf and sandals!

  • minimalist replied 10 years ago

    Love the cobalt bookending!

Hadn't heard of Bowen technique, so at first I thought you meant this:

and thought it pretty inspired to dress so brilliantly for that.

But the Google is my friend, so I get it now. Hope your session went well!

    What Ceit said.

You look great, a lovely comfortable out and about outfit. I love the way you have used the scarf and shoes to add a touch of colour :)

  • Day Vies replied 10 years ago

Lovely, lovely lovely. I think any accent color used as judiciously as cobalt (favorite color) is used here would look just as fabulous. Marking as a favorite.

    To quote MaryK…"plonk"….

The bookending of those delicious cobalt sandals with the bits of cobalt in the scarf is pure genius. And the handbag…LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I also really like the fit of those skinnies.

You look gorgeous here Deb :)

Killer to the power of Killer

    Your best of 2013.

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

this is great!  The cobalt touches are awesome.  You're killing me with the feral hair.  You should see mine after any humidity gets to it.

  • Greyscale replied 10 years ago

That scarf is amazing. It's enough to make me wear color.

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

That is stunning, Deb -- and your hair could never look "feral." What a giggle that gave me. Although your scarf is definitely wild!

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

    Love these colors together!

What is Bowen therapy?  That was the name of my grade school.

  • carambola replied 10 years ago

Stunning! Love the scarf with the shoes and how they look with the fluid black top and trousers. So striking and elegant.

  • LACeleste replied 10 years ago

You should be in a magazine!  You are beautiful and I love that blue!

PS: If that's feral hair, I am not sure what I have at the moment! :)

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

Yes Deborah that hair is just so feral :-)
Just teasing, you look absolutely gorgeous.

  • Parsley replied 10 years ago

The blue and white really set off the black outfit, Deborah.
    Gorgeous!
I had to google Bowen therapy, too. Maybe it's only in Australia..

  • anne replied 10 years ago

    Not what I'd call "feral"!
I love how you have added the scarf with the cobalt in it to the outfit. Now I too have cobalt sandals I am really wanting cobalt at the neckline and was already thinking of getting myself a new necklace in that colour!

  • rachylou replied 10 years ago

The hit of blue is really fabulous and striking!

  • Ornella replied 10 years ago

I love this take on black, white an cobalt combination. The sandals and the scarf work together beautifully with the black backdrop.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Thank you so much ladies.  This was put together with very little thought this morning and Angie rates it as my best for year!  Maybe my wardrobe is really starting to work for me.

The sandals are very comfy and I am treating them as my summer neutral :)  Hope you don't get too bored as I think you may see a lot of them:)

And for those of you interested in Bowen Therapy... yes it was developed in Australia.  Here is a link which I think explains it quite well.

My therapist is actually a friend of my ours and he is amazing.  There was one pressure point today and I thought I was going to pass out.. ok I may be a little dramatic but the end result is wonderful.

I'm late to this, but what a stunning outfit!!! The pops of blue and the dark colours mixed with your bare skin, I love it. I also love that you described your hair as feral, although it doesn't look that way to me. What a perfect adjective for noncooperative hair! :D

  • Momo replied 10 years ago

    Love, love, love!

  • MsMary replied 10 years ago

LOL, I thought you meant Bowen Family Therapy, too, which was one of my favorite theories when I was in grad school a while back!  I was all, "Wow, Deborah is so open and healthy about going to therapy!"  ;)

    GREAT outfit!  You look amazing!!

  • replied 10 years ago

    J'adore! YLF!

  • karymk replied 10 years ago

    LOL "feral hair"

  • Lyn D. replied 10 years ago

I like the addition of the scarf here Deborah, it balances the bare arms and sandals beautifully!

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

This outfit should be in the Deborah Outfits Hall of Fabulous. The scarf is perfect with your cobalt sandals.
