WIW : Dress Duplicate

Hi Fabbers,

I got this dress in black last year and have worn it a lot.  It's one of those dresses that is quite versatile.  I have worn it over leggings, bare legs, with the tie tied and with it loose and I have worn jackets and long vests over it.

So....  the designer re-released the dress this year, doing the black again but also Sapphire Blue!  Need I say more lol

I have a wedding coming up and I think this just might be what I will wear.  I feel it's quite wedding appropriate.  I would probably style it for the wedding very similar to how I wore it here, maybe change the accessories.

The dress is from Lulu Manna, a small independent designer in Sydney. She is a gorgeous girl and designs very modern, elegant, 'grown up' clothing.  I'm a big fan.

xxx Deborah

What an awesome dress!  You can see the tie detail so much better than on the black one... in photos anyway.  I think this would be perfect or a wedding.  Your necklace is perfect with it.

I'm going to have to start ordering clothes though you, you are finding such fantastic pieces!

  • RobinF replied 6 years ago

Wow gorgeous! I think this is totally wedding appropriate. I like it accessorized like you have it and could also see it with metallic accessories.

  • Ledonna N. replied 6 years ago

I would wear this everyday no lie.  I love this shade of blue on you.  I can see why you bought it in a different color.    Don't you just love a great duplicate?  I'm going to look for her designs on the web.  I have a envy of clothing right now.

Fabulous! Great colours, especially with the red lipstick. Totally wedding appropriate!

The brand looks to have some lovely pieces.

  • Sara L. replied 6 years ago

Great dress!  I love the bold necklace with it.  I think it would be perfect for a wedding.

  • Karie replied 6 years ago

You look absolutely stunning in sapphire blue! The dress is beautiful and totally appropriate for a wedding.

Deborah - what a gorgeous dress in an incredible color!!  I love your description - "elegant and grown up" clothing!  Why are sophisticated, architectural pieces so difficult to find.  I adore the sleeves and the tie is really interesting but perfect way to change up the fit.  I can see this being spectacularly versatile.  Wish I could find something as perfect, elegant, interesting but clean, minimal, but special like you did!!  Kudos girl for finding a designer who "gets it"!!  Enjoy your fabulous dress!!

Wow, a stunner. And you styled it beautifully.

The dress is gorgeous, and it looks perfect on you.

Amazing color on you and a trusted avante garde style dress, especially with those block heel shooties, wow! Do you have an undercut on a side Debs, that is also very very edgy!!Love all! Thanx for posting again!:-)

This is lovely Deborah, the colour is divine and the draping just right.

  • Joy replied 6 years ago

Stunning. A gorgeous color and in your style. It looks great as you styled it for a wedding.

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 6 years ago

The dress is gorgeous on you. This shade of blue is stunning with your coloring, and it's a great way to duplicate. Yes, I can see it going to a wedding in style.

  • Deborah replied 6 years ago

Elizabeth P thank you.  And yes the detail is much easier to see on the blue.  And I'd be very happy to be your personal shopper anytime :) Not that I want enable but she does ship overseas :)

Robin thank you and yes metallic accessories would be a great combo.

Ledonna that is exactly how I feel.  I could wear it everyday lol.

Jane, thank you.  Yes they have lovely designs and she follows slow fashion model, releasing her seasonal range and then adding 2 or 3 new items during the season.

Thanks Sara.  I will be nice not having to think about what to wear to the wedding.

Thanks so much Karie.  Could so see this colour on you :)

Thanks Gryffin, yes she totally 'gets me' and its not often that you find edgier design in colour.

    Skylurker, thank you.

    Dianna, thank you.

Thanks Lyn, and yes I have had an undercut both sides for almost 12 months and I love it.  I have to pop into the salon every couple of weeks tho to keep it looking good.

    Thanks Sal xx

    Joy, thank you.

Thanks Firecracker, looks like the wedding is sorted. :)

Gorgeous dress, made for you! Blue suits you so well too.

That dress looks incredible on you. I totally understand your desire to duplicate. I just duplicated a dress I already had in my closet, only in a different print, because it's "me." The style is so right for me. And this dress that you duplicated is perfect for you. Great choice!

    Simply fabulous :)

  • Beth Ann replied 6 years ago

You know I'll love this --- just for the color alone!  It is very chic and easy to wear, and I'm sure it looks quite different than the black.  Good idea to duplicate!

  • jill58 replied 6 years ago

Gorgeous. I cannot imagine a more perfect dress for you to wear to a wedding. As others have said, your necklace looks wonderful with it. I love your style--so sophisticated.

  • harmonica replied 6 years ago

YLF! Of course you had to duplicate! Love how you styled it. So good to have the wedding outfit sorted.

  • Lyn D. replied 6 years ago

    LOVE this dress!
The new colour will make this one not a duplicate but a perfect addition to your closet.

  • Lisa replied 6 years ago

I'm enjoying following you on IG.  I'll repeat myself here because that blue color really is stunning on you and worth repeating the praise.  :)

  • Runcarla replied 6 years ago

So glad to see COLOUR - I am not a fan of black for weddings. What a gorgeous way to dress up. Stylish, artistic, womanly, confident - just amazing, Deborah.

  • Bijou replied 6 years ago

This is a great dress to duplicate, you look beautiful. The dress really does look quite different in the blue. Perfect for a wedding or anytime when you would like to look amazing. I love the accessories too, just perfect with the dress.

  • Sheril replied 6 years ago

A fine dress and you very much go. And such a bright color. I am always happy for women who can afford to wear such a beautiful color.

Love the blue, Debs. Nice change from black.

  • Barbara Diane replied 6 years ago

I can see it was amazing in black, but this color!!! Beyond stunning.

This colour is amazing on you Deborah.  I always enjoy the way you put an outfit together.

  • No Fear of Fashion replied 6 years ago

How very arty and stylish. You will be a knock-out at this wedding. Don't upstage the bride haha. Hope she is wearing white.

  • Marilyn replied 6 years ago

That colour looks stunning on you, Deborah.  Very pretty look.
