WIW : Dress Duplicate

Hi Fabbers,

I got this dress in black last year and have worn it a lot.  It's one of those dresses that is quite versatile.  I have worn it over leggings, bare legs, with the tie tied and with it loose and I have worn jackets and long vests over it.

So....  the designer re-released the dress this year, doing the black again but also Sapphire Blue!  Need I say more lol

I have a wedding coming up and I think this just might be what I will wear.  I feel it's quite wedding appropriate.  I would probably style it for the wedding very similar to how I wore it here, maybe change the accessories.

The dress is from Lulu Manna, a small independent designer in Sydney. She is a gorgeous girl and designs very modern, elegant, 'grown up' clothing.  I'm a big fan.

    What an awesome dress!  You can see the tie detail so much better than on the black one... in photos anyway.  I think this would be perfect or a wedding.  Your necklace is perfect with it.

    I'm going to have to start ordering clothes though you, you are finding such fantastic pieces!

    Wow gorgeous! I think this is totally wedding appropriate. I like it accessorized like you have it and could also see it with metallic accessories.

    I would wear this everyday no lie.  I love this shade of blue on you.  I can see why you bought it in a different color.    Don't you just love a great duplicate?  I'm going to look for her designs on the web.  I have a envy of clothing right now.

    Fabulous! Great colours, especially with the red lipstick. Totally wedding appropriate!

    The brand looks to have some lovely pieces.

    Deborah - what a gorgeous dress in an incredible color!!  I love your description - "elegant and grown up" clothing!  Why are sophisticated, architectural pieces so difficult to find.  I adore the sleeves and the tie is really interesting but perfect way to change up the fit.  I can see this being spectacularly versatile.  Wish I could find something as perfect, elegant, interesting but clean, minimal, but special like you did!!  Kudos girl for finding a designer who "gets it"!!  Enjoy your fabulous dress!!

    The dress is gorgeous on you. This shade of blue is stunning with your coloring, and it's a great way to duplicate. Yes, I can see it going to a wedding in style.

    Elizabeth P thank you.  And yes the detail is much easier to see on the blue.  And I'd be very happy to be your personal shopper anytime :) Not that I want enable but she does ship overseas :)

    Jane, thank you.  Yes they have lovely designs and she follows slow fashion model, releasing her seasonal range and then adding 2 or 3 new items during the season.

    Thanks Lyn, and yes I have had an undercut both sides for almost 12 months and I love it.  I have to pop into the salon every couple of weeks tho to keep it looking good.

    That dress looks incredible on you. I totally understand your desire to duplicate. I just duplicated a dress I already had in my closet, only in a different print, because it's "me." The style is so right for me. And this dress that you duplicated is perfect for you. Great choice!

    You know I'll love this --- just for the color alone!  It is very chic and easy to wear, and I'm sure it looks quite different than the black.  Good idea to duplicate!

    This is a great dress to duplicate, you look beautiful. The dress really does look quite different in the blue. Perfect for a wedding or anytime when you would like to look amazing. I love the accessories too, just perfect with the dress.
