WIW : Cross Over Pants

Hi Ladies,

I was a little too keen to dress for Spring today and I did have to change into warmer pants and shoes before I went out again for lunch.

I wore this outfit to go shopping for white pants:)

Crossover Pants : Supre
White Under Top : Suzanne Grae
Navy Hi Low Top : Motto
Pumps : Wittner

I forgot how much I love these pants (they are only really wearable in Spring/Summer as they are quite light).  Despite being from what is known to be a 'cheaper' store, they are reasonable quality and wash and wear well.

I scoured the stores for white pants or jeans.  I was ready to spend to get a good pair and had done quite a bit of on line research.  I ended up in a store here called Valley Girl, which is very much aimed at the teen/tween demographic.  They had a fab pair of white ankle pants on sale which ticked all my boxes so I bought them.  They also had a great pair of white skinny jeans, also on sale, which I think I may go back for tomorrow.  Funny how we often find things in the most unexpected of places.

Thanks for looking.

xxx Deborah

P.s.  #3 is my blogger pose lol.  Seen a lot of bloggers doing this and as I was feeling a silly thought I would give it a try :)

Those cross over pants are such an interesting and flattering shape. I'm loving the narrow white band of shirt, and it's not too long that we don't see the cross-over detail. Lovely proportions Deb.

Like the blogger pose! You carry it off with aplomb :)

Thanks Diane. It's tricky with top length as you don't want to obscure the crossover. Most of my tops are just a tad too long;)

OMG I am floored by the gorgeousness of those pants. I adore that style but it seems so hard for most people (including models) to pull off...but not you! On you, these are proportional perfection.

And I can't wait to see you in your white pants :)

I like crossover pants and agree they are tricky. That pair is gorgeous on you. Your proportions are a tutorial. Love the hint of white top peeking out from the dark blue sweater.

Those are lovely trousers on you, Deborah -- what a gorgeous outfit. I love the drape of it. As always, you nail the proportions perfectly.

And yay for leaving no retail stone unturned!!

Ooh, there are lovely details here! Loving the pants, the slim peek of white, the center front seam on the navy top.

How fantastic to find what you wanted in Valley Girl - and on special at that!  It just proves to shop in all stores, I am sure you will look amazing in them.

Great outfit, and congrats on finding some new pieces in unexpected places!

I love the idea of crossover pants but I never found a pair that worked for me. The closest contenders I found last year were too big on me and I never found another pair of them online, even though I tried. Wasn't meant to be!

These pants are so very You! Love the blogger pose, will give it a try myself, too:-))

I love everything about this... the pants, the proportions, the outfit in general... and the "leave no retail store unturned" story.  Plus, you look amazing.

The best cross-over pants I've seen. You look fabulous, Debs.

    Great pants.

great crossover pants! I had my eye on a pair but I think they are just too high-waisted for me. You wear these so well, Deb.

  • AviaMariah replied 9 years ago

One of my favorites of yours!!  I have always admired crossover pants but couldn't quite picture how to wear them.  I love how you're wearing them with layers untucked (I had always envisioned tucking which I think is where I was having trouble).  I'm slightly jealous of your impending spring as I haul out my sweaters and booties.  :)

I love how you've styled the cross-over pants.  They seem like they could be tricky but you've made it look effortless.

Ha- I just modelled my new cross over pants in my nature thread.

These look great on you Deborah, elegant and simple with a twist.

Fabulous pants. The "Valley Girl" cracked me up. (Long ago I lived in "the Valley.")

You look slim and sleek and beautiful these days.

  • catgirl replied 9 years ago

You are making me want to go through the whole X-over pants search AGAIN! Gorgeous!

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Perfect evolving Deborah - love the blue and white touches.

  • Beth Ann replied 9 years ago

Ah!  I love this style of pant, and would buy them in a second if I were an Aussie!  You look elegant -- and the block heel is a great supporting act.

Glad you found white pants for spring!

You are looking so sleek and divine!  Love it

Your Basque split-back sweater might work length at the front-wise too.
Great find from Supre- did you go back to VG for the white jeans?

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Lyn good thinking, the navy top should be a perfect length. I didn't go back for the jeans. I still might but just not feeling a sense of urgency about them and I now have the unplanned expense of the skirted leggings;)
