WIW : Back to Work!

Hi Ladies,

Well, day 2 back at the office and I think I will post about that Off Topic!:)

A warm day today and after two sleep challenged nights I just wanted comfort and ease.

This is an easy breezy layered ensemble:)

The dress is a soft crinkled tank style dress, fitted but not body con.  Over that I layered a soft draped tank from Metalicus and then over that a sleeveless drape vest.  The vest and dress are from my favorite little boutique here that have a lot of these sorts of items that drape and wrap and work well with my wardrobe (not as good as my beloved Metalicus tho lol).  Note all layers are quite light.

The outfit felt great but I, unfortunately, have felt rubbish all day.  Glad to be home and hanging out with my style buddies:)

Don't hesitate to share thoughts on how to improve, add to, or do it differently.

Thanks for looking.

xxx Deborah

That's a lovely breezy summer combination Deborah. Sorry your day was rubbish though. I fear it is going to be one of those years on the workfront... "challenging" shall we say ;)

Sorry to hear you haven't felt great. It's horrible not being able to sleep properly. Still, you pulled together a very stylish outfit and look fab, so at least there's that.

I love the subtle mix of textures here. And that bee... so perfect! Sorry you felt rubbish, but a great outfit never fails to lift the mood, don't you find?

love the artiness of the drape and the way you have played with both the layers and the textures of the fabrics!

Sorry you feel like rubbish - and i hear ya on the job front - my job is quite challenging this year and YLF is one of my shining lights that makes me smile.

No improvement required Deborah. You are looking perfectly stylish in your distinct way as always and your bee necklace finishes the look beautifully. I'm on the same page with lack of sleep....hopefully tonight is the night for a good, long deep sleep.

I love the way you layered the flouncy tunic vest over the sheath frock. A cohesive and gorgeous pairing, Debs.

Glad you're back at home to recover from your grotty day. xo

I'm not feeling very inspired by the new spring looks -- but your spring style has my wheels spinning! Love it.

I love your long layers, deb! And always love that pendant. I'm sorry you're feeling not-great. Hope you feel better. It's hard going back to work after holidays.

I am loving the texture of the skirt part of the dress - very cool.  And I've been thinking about jewellery and accessories today (a few blog posts people have done over the past couple of days) and appreciate the very personal touch your big diamond bee adds to your look !  Love him/her :)

What a gorgeous outfit. No one would ever know you were feeling awful. I hope you feel better soon. I adore the layers here -- and the subtle textural mix. It really adds to the effect.

Thanks for our lovely warm words ladies.  We have a situation at work which is very 'unhealthy'.  I will elaborate more off topic, but after three ways leave I have come back to an unpleasant situation which surprisingly seems to be impacting me more than I expected.

You look confident and relaxed in this --- like the length and the bare arms.  So sorry work is challenging right now!

Deborah - so sorry to hear that you are under the weather.  Going back to work after such a long leave would be shock enough but being unwell and then having to deal with drama would send anyone into a tailspin.  Wonderful outift and glad you got to enjoy looking fab even it it was stressful.  Hope that you physcially feel better and that the work problems are in a better place soon!!  Hugs!
