WIW : Back to the Grind:)

It's not really 'the grind' but after a fab weekend I was feeling a little tired and could have managed a day off quite nicely:)

Today was a very cold day spent mostly at my desk, so I opted for comfort, which meant mostly Metalicus, which incorporated a new skirt and cardigan:) #1 - #3

I found I hadn't been wearing my Sabena short coat despite how cold it is.  So last night I removed the belt loops (and belt) and now it's my version of perfect.  Wore it today and see many more wears in it's future.

#4 is what I changed into tonight to go out for a casual dinner at the local 'tavern' with some friends.

Please excuse the photos, it's dark and my flash came on and really the lighting is not the best.

Thanks for looking.
xxx Deborah

You look fab. I particularly like the drama of looks 1 to 3. Can I ask where the tunic in 4 is from? I like that hemline. Is it metalicus too?

Wow - you are looking striking!!  And especially slender in Pic 1! Have you reached your weight loss goal!

Glad your coat is going to  get wears!

Brookly, the knit tunic is from Jacqui E.  I bought it last year and it's really big as in about three sizes over my usual size lol.  It was meant to be worn more as a jumper and closer fitting but i though it looked awful.  The Sales Assistant so tried to talk me out of the large size but I love it.

Thanks Anne:)  I had two weight loss goals.  The first one I knew was achieveable and then I had a second goal which I wasn't sure about the reality off, but I am only 1.5 kg off that second goal.  Not bothered if I make it tho xxx

You look classically elegant. I love the drama of the black&white look. Striking with your blond hair

More great looks, you do look wonderful.

I love the black and white combination in particular.

You continue to amaze me, Debs! That coat is fab, and both outfits killer!

I love the coat in #1 now as I don't see you as a person who belts many things. Love it loose like that. Your evening out look is lovely with the black and white layering. I agree with the others...you are so elegant and chic.

Love the coat the way it looks here! Clever to get rid of the belt and belt loops. I really like the oversized look in #4, it looks so comfortable...

I love the coat in #1 - hope you will get a lot of use from it now that you removed the belt loops. The new skirt looks great with the black tights and shoes.

OK, you need to send photos 2 and 3 into Metalicus, and if they don't give you a job styling or modelling their products, then they should be shot.  Seriously, I can't imagine a better example of how to wear their clothes.  You ROCK!

Good call on the belt removal, I think that suits your style perfectly.  Also loving the tunic... smiling at your SA story.  You know yourself so well.  I'm not sure I'd have thought of sizing up so much.

You are on fire these days!

    Gorgeous!

I love the black and white look.  The layers look great together. I'm terrible with layering so love looking at your layered looks.  The slightly modified coat looks perfect for your style.

Thanks ladies, it was good move to do that little tweak to the coat.  It doesn't have any closures but I can wrap it and 'pin' it if necessary.  I am thinking of stitching a small closure where it cannot be seen.

Elizebeth you are too kind :)  I keep telling (suggesting) to Metalicus that they need to open a store in my town and I will work for them lol...  and I would.

That coat looks amazing! Love photo #1 -- so classic and dramatic. What a smart idea to remove the belt and loops.

The whole outfit is fab -- great layering, as always!

    What maneera said!

Great call on making the coat work for you!!
