WIW : Animal on Boxing Day

Happy Boxing Day!  I worked today, my first time doing Boxing Day retail in a looong time :)  It was lots of fun and lots of ladies are now home with some wonderful goodies.

Our weather went from mid 30's to 23 degrees today, and it was windy, wet and quite cold this morning.

I wore my skirted leggings, jersey cami and a new top - which I bought predominantly for work to lighten up my black.  It's called the Jersey Vee Cami and I love the design. I am hoping it may become available in black!!
I don't normally wear brown tones, but I felt the white and grey tones balanced the brown for me.  The shape is totally me and the animal print is a bit of fun:)

Do you think this top should stay firmly in my 'shop capusule' or worth working into my everyday wear?  It does work with a lot of my bottoms and I do think there are some layering possibilities??

Thanks for looking
xxx Deborah

I vote everyday wear.  I love how you have layered it over black, as it gives the pattern more depth than the version worn by the model.  I also like the warmth that the touch of brown gives to the pattern and think this look would be fantastic with a cognac handbag.

I think the brown is quite subtle and I love the shape and print on you Deb. I vote use it for everyday wear. The way you styled the top with skirted leggings and a black under layer is wonderful!

Once again, I like your styling more than that on the model. I like the angles of the hem of the top and the skirted leggings together. This outfit is perhaps less 'crisp' than your usual black/white/ navy, but looks great and could be more than just work wear. Are you keeping much separate just for work? Glad you had a good work day, I imagine it was crazy!

Yeeessss, it looks great. It does not look brown and I vote to work it into your everyday capsule.

Wow, I love this on you! Unexpected yet it *is* you. Not sure what you mean about shop capsule vs, everyday, but I think this deserves a spot in your rotation. Very flattering!

Oh, I really love it. Don't save it just for work.

Absolutly belongs in your daily wear. The white and grey easily balance out the brown.

Adding in the unexpected color really adds dimension to the outfit, as does the print and cut. I give it two thumbs up, and not just because I'm obsessed with leopard ;-)

That top is a great summer piece and does deserve a spot in your regular wardrobe.

    oops--duplicate.

Fantastic! I like the play of the hemlines together. The animal print is a fun neutral, too! It deserves a "spot" or two (get it? ha ha!) in your everyday wardrobe.

Thanks so much for the feedback! The leopard is a bit out of my comfort zone. I do like animal print but prefer snow leopard:).

Aquamarine, I have two jobs. One in the not for profit sector, the other with a fashion label. I try to make sure that what I buy (and wear in the boutique) translates well into the rest of my life and I just wasn't sure about this:)

So I feel confident to wear this more and maybe even try it out with a drapey jacket for my office job:). Thank you xx

    Killer

I LOVE the pattern with the colour of your hair and skin tone, Debs. Very pretty and alive. You look healthy and vibrant.

I hope we will see some of Dexter's holiday capsule too.

A very fun and versatile top!  You look great.  I vote to wear as much as possible.  I don't know your work place dress code, but think that with a drapey jacket, you could wear it in most workplaces.

I like the scale of the print for you, and and I think it would harmonize nicely with a lot of your wardrobe.

It must feel good to help women make great wardrobe choices.  They're lucky to have you!
