WIW : A Lazy Sunday

Hi Fab Ones,

DH is on holiday so we have some free Sundays this month and took the opportunity to visit a lovely town about 40 minutes away for a wander and lunch.

This town has some great cafes and a fantastic bookshop that you can get lost in.  We came home with a lovely candle, some goats milk soap, a tshirt for DH and a new book for Master 12.  There is an amazing boutique that I always drop in to and found they were closing down and everything was reduced, but I came home empty handed.

Weather is in the 30's so I restrained myself from too much layering:)  I wore a black asymmetric hem dress and long vest both by Metalicus and my favourite sandals:)  I was a bit concerned I would be too hot, but felt very comfortable all day:)

Its funny posting summer outfits while so many of you are experiencing cold temps :)  I cannot wait to be able to put on skinny jeans and oversized sweater.

xxx Deborah

Deborah, as always you look fab! It's great to hear about your warm weather while we are experiencing grey, cold winter. It gives hope that it will come to an end at some point! :-)

Thanks Staysfit:). I'll happily swap weather lol. I'm a winter girl and don't enjoy the heat:(

I'm loving all your summer outfits--I'm getting loads of inspiration for when it's summer over here! (Though if I could switch hemispheres constantly and enter leave fall/winter weather I'd be quite happy!)

Agree with Staysfit, as always you look fab. Thanks for doing summer so stylishly.

Thanks Kaelyn, I'm like you! I need to spend 6 months here and 6 months across the water;)

Helen you're in Aus aren't you? How are you travelling this summer? Is it hot where you are?

  • Helen11 replied 8 years ago

Yes, it's hot here in my part of Aus as well! I'm glad to go to work in the airconditioning. Friday it was 38C. I feel my shorts-and-shirts outfits are not very inspiring, so no pics from me at present. However, we are on school holidays, and swimming a lot, so it's ok overall : )

Gosh girl you are the most elegant shopper ever!!  You have an amazing eye for proportions and layers.  Love the new belt.  My hip belt is still the thing I can't live without.  Isn't amazing when you find that special piece!  I love seeing your summer wardrobe, totally jealous.  Not enough sweaters and layers ever this time of year, but I can't complain - almost not snow so far, just cold.  Enjoy your beautiful outfit.  If  you need a sweater fix, this is the new Emerson Fry long jet sweater I'll be lounging in!!  Soon, Deborah, soon....then we can be in warm weather clothes....ah......

What great sandals! Regardless, of the season, you are an inspiration, Deborah.

I find your wardrobe more seasonless than many and i always like seeing what you are wearing. Much of it could be worn in any climate at any time of year - layering or changing a fibre content .  I also admit to really loving your Metallicus pieces - that's a line I wish I had access to. And lastly - you are reminding me what kinds of sandals I want to keep an eye out for this spring - these are terrific.

Your shoe collection kills me. Your sandals look so fab on you and work so well with your outfit.

You look terrific. I do love the way you combine your pieces so cleverly?

It is very humid here right now- I think we will get rain this afternoon. I prefer summer to winter both in terms of fashion and lifestyle. I love the light - long evenings, early mornings, and I like bare skin as part of my look.
