WIW : A Forest

Hi Fabbers,

Off to the Community Meal this morning with Master 11 who is on school holidays:).

I still like to "dress" on a Wednesday, but like to keep it pretty casual as I can be doing anything from washing dishes to serving tables to swanning around "supervising" ;) so everything needs to be washing machine friendly!

This is a bit of a fast fall back outfit for me. Ponte pants/leggings, forest print long sleeve tee, and draped long sleeve tee layered over. Flat boots as I'm on my feet from 9 until 2. It has been really cold here and I have been wearing beanies daily (I have this black one, navy and cobalt).

My hair journey continues, and I had a cut last week. Have now gone very short but still with length at the front. While I don't hate it (I don't love it), I think this is not quite where I want to go:). Some of the shorter top lengths are quite challenging to manage and style. My hair does grow fast so no stress but I think I am now moving towards platinum blonde foils (not a full head) mixed with my natural colour and a short choppy asymmetric bob...we'll see:)

Thanks for looking! The Forest tee makes me think of the The Cure's "A Forest" *sigh*, so for your listening pleasure...

Have a great day.

xxxDeborah

    Nice look, Debra.

Great casual look, Deborah, it's edgy, comfy and chic- a wonderful combination. I can understand not wanting hair that is challenging to style but I think it looks quite fab.

I always love seeing your WIWs and this is no exception.

Great, love the 'forest edge' bracketed by the black, and love how cool you look in a beanie!

This outfit looks wonderful on you. I am loving your hair journey. I feel you with the super short being hard to style. I am fighting/loving mine constantly these days... It will be fun to watch where it takes you. (And I love the beanies...)

When I saw your thread title, I dared to wonder if The Cure was what you had in mind! :-)

I love how a simple and more casual outfit can still be very true to your style. Your hair looks great too. I totally understand your ongoing hair evolution -- I feel like I always need to keep tweaking and changing mine!

Perfect outfit for your day! I was surprised to read that you have a tee layered over a tee. Great idea. I would probably need a sweater if it's that cold, though. But maybe it's warmer in the dining room or kitchen where you are serving? I really admire the way you can wear that beanie and look so chic.

You rock this look so well Deborah. Love the beanie too. Have a nice day with Master 11!

Great outfit Deborah. I love your beanie and your hair! And the forest tee with your sweater looks fab.

:) Love all of it. And I was just listening to The Lovecats, prior to coming here. I think your hair looks super as is and what you're moving towards will, as well.

    Gorgeous!

You look stunning and look fab in a beanie. Love this!

Love what the forest shirt does for this outfit. Stunning as ever. I was never one to follow a band but saw The Cure at least twice at Madison Square Garden due to the obsession of my college roommate. (Also have seen the Grateful Dead about 13 times but that is another story.)

Love the top and love the outfit! Very interesting to hear your hair reflections. It looks good in the photos, but you will know what is best for you moving forward!

I can't believe how good you look in a beanie Deborah. It's not fair! A cool cat for sure. You look dressy buy comfortable for your busy day. :)
