Saw this on Garance Dore's blog today.  Thought this outfit was just stunning.

Just had to share.

Love the play of whites & textures :)

I would love to have seen her footwear.

What Caro said.  The different shades of white and the textures really make this outfit sing.

Yes - the footwear:) what would you put with it?

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Believe it or not I couldn't choose black :)

I might be tempted to wear my black and white animal print booties.WDYT?

It's the fourth outfit down.  Your choice of footwear is better imo :)

Caro how did you find it? I am not a fan of the sneaker look unfortunately:(.

  • Hil replied 10 years ago

Lovely! But not with the sneakers. They just bring down the whole look! Your option is better!

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

Clearly I am not very fashion forward as no matter how often I look at sneakers in this kind of ensemble... I just don't like them.

What a shame- the illusion was broken with those sneaks!

  • Jules replied 10 years ago

Not to mention the illusion of a sunny dry day when one could venture such an outfit...

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Ooooh. Love the outfit. But I don't like the proportion with the sneaks. I don't have a poison eye for sneaker looks -- I own a pair. But these ones look clunky.

I saw that too! I swooned! Whenever I try it I don't feel right though.  Maybe I just need more "lux" like this woman has going.

I guess one of the lovely things about the pale end of the neutral spectrum is that construction lines show up clearly, well in a photo anyway. These same pieces in black would need to be seen IRL, don't you think, to do justice to their lines?

i wonder if she had indoor shoes in that lovely bag.

So gorgeous! I love the textures and the drape.

  • Eliza replied 10 years ago

Beautiful outfit, but just no on the sneakers.

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

    A gorgeous look!

Gorgeous outfit, but I agree on the sneakers. They look like nurse's shoes to me.
