PMWIW1: Keeping IT Real:)

Firstly, Thank you to Denise for the encouragement to post more:) I have gotten very lazy lately and while the heart was willing the body didn't have the energy:)

So today is a public holiday and I had the day off work. I ran some errands this morning and had lunch with my MIL at her Aged Care home. Picked up Master 11 from school and then changed into 'lounge wear' for the afternoon.

#1 Skinny black ankle pants with loose fitting blouse and birk-a-likes with
black and gold pendant.
I would prefer this either with a heel, or with slouchy tapered pants and
flats. Looking at the picture the proportions don't look as good as they
did in the mirror? But I received a couple of nice compliments on this
outfit:)

#2 Loungewear as I help with homework, cook diner etc.
Wide leg jersey pants and jersey tee

Hair decided to take on a bizarre shape today, but in the spirit of keeping it real....

xxx Deborah

You know those red lips make a world of difference even to a simple outfit, don't you? :). I like the proportions in 1. And the skin show with the sandals gives the outfit enough structure. The necklace is a great addition too.

Your at home outfit is definitely in my league too :) .... Mine is very similar! Hopefully I would get some pics out today with my loungewear.

Thanks Neel. I think red lipstick is my 'weapon' lol. Truth is I felt and looked rather rubbish today but this is such a fantastic community that I figured it's safe to share the not so fab moments too :)

I really like both of these! Your casual style is very similar to your work style--sleek and modern. Super lounge wear outfit!

Wow, even your lounge wear is stylish! You may not have felt great, but you sure looked it. Hope you picked a winner in the Cup. So sad about the favourite dying.

I like the way your hair is behaving today.  A bit more undone but not lifeless.I cannot find any fault with the proportions in #1 -- in fact it must be one of my favorites on you, it has a relaxed feel that expresses another side of your style and persona.  It might be the Birks doing this, and I love how they juxtapose with the dramatic aspect of your style.

Woohoo I can't see past the Birks :)
Seriously, I like the proportions in #1 too & your lounge wear is chic.

Loving your stylish loungewear Deborah with the first look being my favourite. Simple, comfortable and your signature black. Your red lipstick weaponry always works and the necklace adds interest. How did you go on the cup today? I'm relaxing after a fantastic day at Flemington....a very lucky and 'happy' day!

I think you look, elegant an pulled together in both pics and your hair looks great too!

I love your outfits with the birks. :-) The loungewear looks great too.

Everything looks good including the proportions!

Are you kidding? You always look stylish to me! Even when you feel "rubbish" :) :) :)

Hah, I see loungewear is true to your  overall style, Debs!:-).  YLF in all of these!

  • Sara L. replied 9 years ago

Your loungewear is soooo much more stylish than mine!  I like the long pendant with #1 and the interesting shoes (I'm trying to overcome my birks poison eye).

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Your loungewear is positively elegant! I love the idea of keeping loungewear in the same style family as your regular clothing.

The outfit is great, too, and looks equally comfortable! Love the necklace with it.

As Denise/cocolion said perfectly....... and I relate to your at-home look - and like it a lot :)

    Love your lounge-wear Deborah!
I always remove any jewellery for lounging, but see that with the all-black it gives it the 'lift' it needs, along with your lippy of course :)

I like both looks and laughing at your red lipstick as a weapon comment, so true!
