Addicted to Short Hair!!

Following on from Shannon's fab new hair post, I was booked was also booked in for a trim;). I have been wanting to go shorter and her gorgeous look was just what I needed to push me over the edge;)

Possibly not vastly different to some but for me a noticeable change. Now all short lengths at the back and shorter on the sides. Kept the longish sides wept fringe.

Pic 3 is where I'm tempted to go at some point!

Gorgeous! Short hair really suits you.

You must have the perfect hair to work with. Every way you have worn it is gorgeous, and this shorter cut looks amazing on yo. It will probably work well for wearing hats this winter too.

First of all, thank you do much for your kind words about my hair Deb. You're so sweet :)

This cut is WOW!!' It's elegant and edgy all rolled into one. It looks incredibly beautiful on you.

I've been searching and pinning shorter (not ready for short yet!) hairstyles lately...probably because of the gorgeous cuts I've seen here! This is so striking Deborah, as is Shannon's new 'do. It really is flattering and so stylish- YLF!

OK ... The hair is amazing and suits you wonderfully .... But your future style shift which you mentioned has surprised (good surprise) me! I actually can't wait to see that Deborah. Would you be sporting colors too? :)

What a gorgeous cut -- so sophisticated!

  • Jeanie replied 4 years ago

Super cool Deborah!  I recall shorter was a big step for you but it sounds like you are hooked now.  I love your inspiration pic.  I can't wait to see if you go even shorter!

    Lovely Deborah!
I can't believe that your hair is actually wavy- it always looks so perfect :)

  • Sveta replied 4 years ago

Love it! Asymmetric cut is going to be a great asset to your  unique style!

Deborah - so uber elegant, you could die!!  I have always loved you haircuts, in all their iterations!!  But I love this.  Love, love, love!!  I love the straight fall on the right, the layering so polished, refined, edgy and beautiful with your features!!  Enjoy your gorgeous cut!!

    Fantastic!

One of these days mine will go the big chop chop. You are inspirational.

  • Gracie replied 4 years ago

    Gorgeous and sharp!

Wow, you look amazing Deborah! Love this cut on you! I can almost see it working as an "accessory" for your outfits!

I used to sport a pixie for over 4 years and I know how addicting it can be! I am growing my hair long now and I get so annoyed of the tangles! I miss not having yo comb tangles off.

  • Angie replied 4 years ago

I like this shorter style even better. Does the front fringe bother you? How do you keep it out of your eyes?

  • Ginkgo replied 4 years ago

This is fabulous on you! You have not only the perfect hair texture for this style, but you have the perfectly shaped head also! As a member of the flat head tribe, I am rather jealous.

I so enjoy your WIWs, you keep sharpening your style and elegance.

Love! Your hair is so in synch with your fantastic style!

Wow! I think it really suits you Deb. Love!

Thank you! I am loving the the shorter do. It's very liberating and has broken down some misconceptions I have carried for a long time about my physical appearance. It's so quick and easy and bad hair days are (almost) a thing of the past

Lyn, I think that fact that it's naturally wavy cruelly works in my favour. I wash and blow dry it each morning and the texture seems to be what creates the volume and holds the shape and style.

Angie, I'm a vey practiced blow dryer - I have been blow waving and straightening my hair since my teens - and it's just a matter of drying and styling the hair to exactly where I want it to sit. The fringe is also cut so that it is a little shorter above my eye and then graduates down to the ear. On days when it's misbehaving a little, a very light spritz of hair spray tames it into place. Also the texture of my hair works with the cut. Generally my hair is not overly soft and floppy, if it was it would be in my eyes all the time.

Thank you very much for the encouragement. If not for you I don't think I would have gone shorter on the first place:)

Have a great Sunday! My sister should be arriving soon and it's shopping and lunch for us xxx

  • shevia replied 4 years ago

Stunning! Waiting for front shots of you and your sister and your loot! Or whatever you post next, but nothing ventured...:-)

  • Debora replied 4 years ago

You look spectacular, Deborah! I love your asymmetrical cut and the length is so flattering. What an inspiration you are.

I saw this on the weekend but didn't have time to cmment... but I want to.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this on you!  And I hope I LOVE LOVE LOVE it on me, because I'm definitely taking these photos with me when I get my next cut!  (Which will be early August, my stylist is going away for July, so don't hold your breath).  Thanks for posting pics of both sides :)

I am encouraged to hear you have wavy hair - actually I'm very surprised.  I assumed it was fine and straight as a bone, so wondered if i could manage this.  Mine has a bit of a wave too.

  • Janet replied 4 years ago

I love each version of your short hair even more than the previous one.

I'm actually a little envious of you ladies who look so terrific in short hair. It's just not the best look on my tiny, oddly-shaped head. ;-)

  • lyn67 replied 4 years ago

Wow, it's perfect!!! Thanx for posting! I'll may use it for ref to my stylist next time:-)

  • viva replied 4 years ago
